Hi Sandy. There are two words that Paul uses in Romans 12:1,2. The first word is "Conformed" and the second word is transformed. Conformed is actually an outside word. We tend to conformed to those things that we see, touch, and hear on a daily basis. Therefore we have a responsibility to guard the avenues of our mind. We can't allow every and anything in to come in and control our mind. An idol mind is the devil's workshop. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Jesus says let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. In other words we must have a made up mind to do what is right, and acceptable as well as perfect in the sight of God. The question comes "What are we conforming to"? Everything I conform to should be of Christ.
The second key word in this particular passage is the word "Transform". this word unlike conform is an inside word. Transformation takes place in the heart. Only Christ can transform the human heart by our acceptance of him into our mind. By beholding Christ we become changed into his likeness and we become one with Christ.
This renewing Sandy, can only occur by the person programming new material into their heart. That material is none other than the word of God. Whatever goes into ones heart will eventually come out. The Bible says we must born again. This implies a spiritual regeneration or rebirth of the heart. Thus, the process of santicfication commences in the life of the seeker and new believer in Christ.
God Bless. Nice post.

The regeneration of the mind comes from the logos of God being heard by our ears. Such wisdom is transforming.
From our sinful desires of the flesh we are prisoners until set free by the truth of God.
The more we meditate on this the more realize we no longer have excuses. That is transforming.
Once you realize this the closer to God you get. The realization is transforming.
Once we choose to obey and not disobey, this is transforming.
So the renewing of the mind I think is the realization of the truth and the practice of conforming to the truth is the process of transformation.

Our personality is shaped by what we regularly feed our minds.The "god of this world", Satan bombards us with negative images, news items, people etc and this has an effect on our minds and our personalities. Paul counsels Consequently I entreat YOU by the compassions of God, brothers, to present YOUR bodies a sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with YOUR power of reason. And quit being fashioned after this system of things, but be transformed by making YOUR mind over, that YOU may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2) It is necessary for true Christians to use their power of reason, their thinking abilities, to reject such influences while at the same time feeding constantly on God's word and molding our lives in harmony with it. This has been called brainwashing by some. They use this term negatively. The fact of the matter is however, our minds and personalities will be molded by various things. Christians CHOOSE to have it be influenced by the Bible
Romans 4:21 provided, indeed, that YOU heard him and were taught by means of him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22 that YOU should put away the old personality which conforms to YOUR former course of conduct and which is being corrupted according to his deceptive desires; 23 but that YOU should be made new in the force actuating YOUR mind, 24 and should put on the new personality which was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." -- 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Because of the finished work of Jesus at Calvary, my old carnal, fleshly nature has been crucified/circumcized via the baptism of the Holy Ghost through repentance, making way for the new holy nature to supercede the old. In the New Covenant, the act of baptism in spirit, water and fire is the new circumcision of flesh. I am thankful for the Holy Ghost, for I am now transformed into a new creature to witness and do the will of God in his kingdom. Hallelujah Jesus!

A basic given:
"The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."
1 John 5:19
A person is born and grows up with the world influencing them.
By 'world' is meant human society.
That world has Satan as the greatest influence.
Thus, upon becoming Christian, one must transform their mind from Satan's ways, to God's ways.
One's values change. One's goals change. One's hopes change. One's outlook changes.

Grace(not law) unto you, and peace(not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus-->Christ.
How soul-ish, child-ish, devil-ish wisdom, of ye.
It is preposterous order to teach first, learn after.
Go ye and learn what meaneth Hos 6:6...Mt 9:13.
It's not transformed from OT Law to NT Law;
witch happens to the 2Cor 11:15 ministers,
who'll have "their end" of life + death = dead end,
but first try to proselyte others with such law law.
It's being transformed from both law vs law to grace,
as if having the mind of Christ: is the end of the law,
then use sound speech to make ye do err ashamed.
Yer mind has obviously been taken captive at will;
Witch notably happens to silly women (churches);
Because ye did not cast dwn all law law thoughts,
which are CONTRARY to the knowledge of God,
knows grace is sufficient means no law is req'd.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

The funniest part of this is that you've been brainwashed into believing this nonsense is of the utmost importance so you won't question the priesthood when they're raking in billions for telling fairy tales.
Religion: the oldest, most successful con game in history.

NO!
Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.
Does that answer your question?
