you do realize that the first person is a Christian(doing the right thing out the fear of not going to hell )

and the second one an atheists(because it is the right thing to do)

Christianity is not about fear. It is based upon finding and knowing our Creator. God has promised a supernatural fellowship/communion between us, the created, and Him, the Creator. I find myself strongly attracted to that.

Most people who think they are doing the right thing just because it is the right thing to do cannot identify how they know it is the right thing to do. Mostly it comes from behavior modification. From early childhood, we are praised for being honest, for being kind, for every acceptable behavior. When we grow up and when we do something we imagine as praiseworthy, we get this good feeling. So it's just self esteemism.
