The jealous God thing is made up by humans. We always try to create God in our image. We entertain all sorts of concepts regarding God; how He looks, what He does, and why He does it -- but all of it is pure imaginary nonsense, simply made up. It is no wonder that so many people say they are not sure if there is a God. It's a wonder anyone believes in God at all anymore considering how much assinine religious propaganda has been pushed onto the world culture.

This is what makes me laugh.

They get the book, they tell the stories, they say God or Allah will "git ya" and in telling the "Gospel For Dummies," they dummy it down to be comprehensible to grade school children but they give God some of the pettiest, most juvenile emotions known to humans!

Wrath is an emotion exhibited by a human with no self-control. Jealousy is a BIG baby insecurity. Revenge is barbaric and threats of death are manipulative.

ALL THESE THINGS ARE STUFF THAT IDIOT HUMANS DO ... NOT AN ALL-KNOWING, OMNIPOTENT ALLAH OR GOD!!

It would be funny if, when these guys all die, they meet their God and he says, "YO! You slandered me all throughout your life! You committed libel against Me just to get a moral message across, you defamed my character and described me to others as a complete knob! I'm gonna sue your freaking butts off!!!!!"

I gotta say it...

The "feeling" that these self-righteous people are referring to is the feeling of acceptance- they feel accepted by a supreme person of power, which makes they themselves supreme in their minds.

Another perk of this faith is that they can go to church, sing a couple of hymns, drink some juice and eat a cracker, give away some money (that 10% adds up...), and then go home, smoke crack, beat their wives, and have multiple sexual partners- cheating on their spouses.

And then, at the end of the day, they say "oops- sorry... you know i'm only human and have no sense of responsibility whatsoever, so it's not really my fault", and poof- it's all good. and as a result, their guilt is erased.

And to answer your question (stop it, Kim... we musn't rant...), God has many flaws. Example: During the great Flood, the saw that he had made a mistake, and what does he do to fix it? Sends a huge flood to kill everything and start over. That's cool. I wish I had a reset button for all of my mess-ups.

Well think about it this way. You fall in love and give all that you can to the one you love. You worked hard for 27 years to make everything perfect for you and the one you love. So everything is complete. You built the perfect house with your own hands. The perfect rose garden. Everything that would please not just the one you loved but anyone who saw it with their own eyes would marvel at such greatness in sacrifice and commitment. Then when you are about to tell her the surprise you have for her and she tells you at that moment before you say it that there is someone else, sorry it didn't work but I have to go. BAM!!! Your heart burst open with the greatest pain you could feel in your lifetime. Yada yada yada! The point! He Who created you and provides for you and any good that reaches you comes from Him. Anything that brings you joy to your heart comes from Him. And to not recognize Him in gratitude for it all is worst than what happened to that man. For every moment in your life that you experienced some joy you probably thanked the one who gave it to you. So learn and know that the reason for your existance is to return that gratitude by truly worshipping Him. Be sincerely yourself. It's you that has to make that decision and reap what comes with it.

Most people have half or no knowledge about God. God is beyond everything. He is beyond love, hate, war, poor, rich , good or bad and of course religions.

There is only one God and he is not of any religions. He treats all by the destiny and have to suffer or enjoy according to their destiny.

Assuming that ,If there are gods for different religions, then will not these Gods fight among themselves for their different
religion's supremacy? Think!

If you read the Old Testament, he acts more like a genocidal maniac.

I don't even think the New Testament is talking about the same guy... maybe he took anger management classes or something.

If your wife or girlfriend was in bed with another guy, would it be egotistical and juvenile of you to have a problem with it?

Edit - I don't know of any teenagers who are in cradles.

Perfection for a claw is sharp and pointy... but for food "sharp and pointy" is a disaster.

Those "God" things operate on different standards to mortals when it suits them. It is useless to try and understand them.
