cause me so much pain? I recognize that there are Christians who find great peace but I was in horrible agony and had to walk away. I find Jesus to be inspiring more through the Gnostic gospels. I mean I felt I was NEVER good enough no matter how hard I tried so why should I turn back to something that caused so much pain for me? Namaste

I am very interested in buying a Catholic Bible but I am unsure which one to buy?

I want your personal opinion on which translation is the best & why. Maybe this will help me to choose a translation, there are so many to choose from that it makes my head hurt ROFL.

I also heard that there will be a new edition of the New American Bible that has a revised old testament, some one recommend that I wait on buying a Catholic Bible till the new edition is published. what do you think?

Thank you for your time & God Bless
(please answer respectfully thank you *HUGS*)

I've even had people tell me that they were cursed because "the curse" was late, and ask me for a counter spell.
This ain't the movies....it's real life.

The reason God made vestigial organs is so that he could "upgrade" humans later if he felt like it. It's like a computer: you have empty bays in a computer for upgrades, and that is the role vestigial organs play in human bodies. They are like "organ bays." The organs take up space in the body so that when God decides to upgrade humans, he can just "hot swap" the new organ into the body.

When God decides to update humans he will replace a vestigial organ with a new one that provides a new function, such as a new organ that allow us to climb walls or shoot webs from our hands. Only could creation science give us such a perfectly logical explanation for vestigial organs.

Let's see an evolutionist give a better explanation for vestigial organs.

Many people think the bible is full of errors and mistakes. The bible is 100 percent accurate. The bible can prove itself to be true. The bible is an accurate book about history, science, future events foretold, and how we are to live.

. The bible predicted the name, birthplace, triumphal entry, betrayal, suffering, death, and burial of Jesus. Jesus was foretold in the bible hundreds of years before Him came.

by using the modern science of probability in reference to eight prophecies, ‘we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 10 to the 17th power." That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. In order to help us comprehend this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 10to the 17th power silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man."

If the human race all came from Adam and Eve I assume their descendants would all have very similar characteristics.

Does not the sheer diversity of the human race today, which shows itself in different racial characteristics, indicate a form of evolution which cannot be denied?

at first i`m muslim ,and i believe in God but let us see what christians believe
both judaism ,christianity and islam believe that God is like nothing else and nobody has seen him ,so God is unknown
God is unknown
christianity claims that christ is God
so christ is unknown
is that logical?

I personally think He knows some would read it more and really dig in...if it were more like a puzzle book. If it was too easy of a read, would some people even be interested? Doesn't it give you a thrill when you FINALLY figure something out that you didn't know before? It is like digging for gold....lots of hard work but pays off in the end.

I already asked this question, and the people who answered it managed to refute the point I was trying to make. So I am going to ask it again and hope the people who answer it this time don't do quite as good of a job arguing against me.

I found out that i tend to get a lot less respectfull of others beliefs in questions where my own beliefs are disrespected. (I thank God that i didn't write anything ofensive or hurtful, only some sharp sarcastic coments that might have gotten me one or two thumbs down (or one or two thmbs up, go figure...)

How about you wha kind of stuff unleashes the fundamentalist inside you? And how do you answer to it, with Love, with respect etc?

…that you don’t want to attempt to explain it because you know that by trying to define it you limit it?

You're forever changed but the extent is beyond your vocabulary so you just sit in stunned silence wishing everyone could know what you know.

According to atheists, they don't force their beliefs upon people. What do they call their theories of evolution that will never be proven? Why limit the theories children must learn.

Isn't it true that a great flood was over all the earth. Isn't it true there are wooly mammoths and many other animals all trapped in glacier and were frozen instantly preserving the food in their stomachs which grew in warm climates?

Evolution is a lot of nonsense that someone dreamed up and thought it should be explored. Why force something unproven on children in schools. Children should not be forced to learn your religious beliefs of evolution. Not a religion? Prove it.

According to the theory of evolution, random genetic mutations are the driving force behind adaptation. I live next door to a nucular (or nuclear in the "correct English") power plant. Because of this, my DNA has undergone all sorts of random mutations, so my children should be very highly evolved.

I expected my son to be born with gills so that he could breathe underwater. He and I were going to become a father-son treasure hunting team. However, this is no longer possible, as my whole family has cancer thanks to the power plant. My son wasn't highly evolved at all.

Doesn't the fact that my son can't breathe underwater disprove evolution?

I find that catholics are the worst at forming social groups for self-support, helping others, etc? This is necessary in my point of view since I see many catholics give up on their faith from social pressure like when to have sex, whether to abort, how to vote, etc.
