Many people think the bible is full of errors and mistakes. The bible is 100 percent accurate. The bible can prove itself to be true. The bible is an accurate book about history, science, future events foretold, and how we are to live.

. The bible predicted the name, birthplace, triumphal entry, betrayal, suffering, death, and burial of Jesus. Jesus was foretold in the bible hundreds of years before Him came.

by using the modern science of probability in reference to eight prophecies, ‘we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 10 to the 17th power." That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. In order to help us comprehend this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 10to the 17th power silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man."

Just think this is only the percentage with a person being able to fill only 8 proficies. Jesus fulfilled over 300 proficies. This proves the accuracey of the bible trough proficey with out any doubt.

We could write books on this one.. Yes the Bible is true and no it does not contain inaccuracies The Bible has many facts and if you think you found a contradiction, its just because you dont yet know the full word of God. YOu need to study and pray to know God, His will and purpose for your life and what He says in His word. He calls us to obey. How can we obey if we dont know His word. Most of the Bible prophecies have been fullfilled, as proof of Gods word being real, but we dont have to proove it. You eithe rbelieve it or not. There are so many miracles continguing today. How do you explain them? There is oviously a supernatural realm that ppl dont know about unless they know God, but He is very real and so is the Holy Bible. IF we werent created by intelligent design by GOd our creator, think on this one.
If I gave you a brand new car and said it was from a huge explosion jillions of miles up and it jsut fell in my yard, would you believe me, or laugh all the way to the title company??? Yes, you would laugh. WE had to come from something, we had to be thought about, planned , designed and made. Nothing comes from nothing. DOesnt take a rocket scientist to get this one, yet there are scientists world wide that preach just this with the evolution bunk. How can anyone believe something came from nothing? YOU say well where did God come from? WE dont know He says He always was and we believe it. BUt for you atheists, where did the gasses come from that causes the explosion? was it always just there? and who made that? Who made the atmosphere, all of it? YOU cant believe in creation but you can believe the gasses were just there and we all just happened. Even a first grader would know better than that. The devil tries so hard to deceive and he gets by with it, becuase so many dont want to know truth as they would have to stop living the way they do. Those that rebel against God will be lost, but those who will love and obey God will be saved. Choice is up to each one of us. Seek and ye shall find, and all will be added unto you.

No, it's not.

As for prophecies:

1. There are several mundane ways in which a prediction of the future can be fulfilled:
1. Retrodiction. The "prophecy" can be written or modified after the events fulfilling it have already occurred.
2. Vagueness. The prophecy can be worded in such a way that people can interpret any outcome as a fulfillment. Nostradomus's prophecies are all of this type. Vagueness works particularly well when people are religiously motivated to believe the prophecies.
3. Inevitability. The prophecy can predict something that is almost sure to happen, such as the collapse of a city. Since nothing lasts forever, the city is sure to fall someday. If it has not, it can be said that according to prophecy, it will.
4. Denial. One can claim that the fulfilling events occurred even if they have not. Or, more commonly, one can forget that the prophecy was ever made.
5. Self-fulfillment. A person can act deliberately to satisfy a known prophecy.

There are no prophecies in the Bible that cannot easily fit into one or more of those categories.

2. In biblical times, prophecies were not simply predictions. They were warnings of what could or would happen if things did not change. They were meant to influence people's behavior. If the people heeded the prophecy, the events would not come to pass; Jonah 3 gives an example. A fulfilled prophecy was a failed prophecy, because it meant people did not heed the warning.

3. The Bible also contains failed prophecies, in the sense that things God said would happen did not (Skeptic's Annotated Bible n.d.). For example:
* Joshua said that God would, without fail, drive out the Jebusites and Canaanites, among others (Josh. 3:9-10). But those tribes were not driven out (Josh. 15:63, 17:12-13).
* Ezekiel said Egypt would be made an uninhabited wasteland for forty years (29:10-14), and Nebuchadrezzar would plunder it (29:19-20). Neither happened.

4. Other religions claim many fulfilled prophecies, too (Prophecy Fulfilled n.d.).

5. Divinity is not shown by miracles. The Bible itself says true prophecies may come elsewhere than from God (Deut. 13:1-3), as may other miracles (Exod. 7:22, Matt. 4:8). Some people say that to focus on proofs is to miss the whole point of faith (John 20:29).

The idea that all revealed truth is to be found in "66 books" is not only not in Scripture, it is contradicted by Scripture (1 Corinthians 11:2, 2 Thessalonians 2:15, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 1 Timothy 3:15, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Peter 3:16).

It is a concept unheard of in the Old Testament, where the authority of those who sat on the Chair of Moses (Matthew 23:2-3) existed.

In addition to this, for 400 years, there was no defined canon of "Sacred Scripture" aside from the Old Testament; there was no "New Testament"; there was only Tradition and non-canonical books and letters.

Our Lord founded a Church (Matthew 16:18-19), not a book, which was to be the pillar and ground of Truth (1 Timothy 3:15).

We can know what this Church teaches by looking not only at Sacred Scripture, but into History and by reading what the earliest Christians have written, what those who've sat on the Chair of Peter have spoken consistently with Scripture and Tradition, and what they've solemnly defined.

To believe that the Bible is our only source of Christian Truth is unbiblical and illogical.

ALL Bibles, except the King James Bible, are true.
King James did not want the Bible in English, in England. But he could not stop them. So he ordered his made and 400 words, times how ever many times used, to be replaced with wrong words. It even has "unicorns" in it.
You also have to be careful with old Bibles and what words meant at the time it was made. (The KJB has about 900 words, times how ever many times used, that meanings are all different today.) So stick with modern ones. Since a bunch of old books of the Bible were found in a cave in 1945 they have found that some words are wrong, after being hand written over and over, until the printing press came along. But modern Bibles will have this corrected info at the bottom of the page, so you will know. (Don't get the the New King James either, it is just edited without info at the bottom of the page. Not translated.)

What christian apologists don't explain is that the prophesies are vague, and can be interpreted in a whole host of different ways, allowing someone to say "there, THAT must be a fulfilment of this prophesy". Neither do they explain that it would have been easy to read a prophesy and act it out to ensure it was fulfilled, to try and promote their agenda.

If I can point out a single error in the bible, will you concede that the bible can't be 100% accurate? Such as suggesting hares have cloven hooves and chew the cud (Deut 14:7)

How many generations were there from the Babylon captivity to Christ? Matthew 1:17 Fourteen generations, Matthew 1:12-16 Thirteen generations.

There is just one of the many contradictions. How can they both be true? They are both in the bible.

This is silly: no book can prove itself to be true. And the alleged predictions are too ambiguous to be worth anything The bible does indeed have hundreds of errors, one of which is evident to anyone who has a shovel and the ability to count: the annual layers of the Antarctic ice cap go back hundreds of thousands of years. (No flood.) There are also dozens of internal contradictions. See:

You are so funny.

It is so easy to find palces where the bible says one thing then the reverse. Like between pages 1 and 2. I mean, do you need to go further.

The bible is one of the most easily provably false bookes ever created.

And I think I'll stop right about there.

The "proof" of the Bible is still a matter of faith. We can cite a lot of proofs, but those proofs depend on interpretation. Prophecy depends on interpretation. Translations of the Bible also depend a lot on the religious slant of the person making the translation. For instance, in Isaiah where it says in the KJV "Behold, a virgin shall conceive." The word that is translated "virgin" in the KJV is technically "young woman" in Hebrew. We could use the argument that virtually all young unmarried Jewish girls at the time of Isaiah were virgins. But you see how prophecy is open to interpretation.

What it gets down to, is that you do not PROVE your conviction of the truth of the Bible through internal statements or stories from the Bible. You can "prove" that certain locations actually existed through archeology, but you cannot prove that particular people except probably kings, actually lived there except from the internal statements from the Bible. You cannot prove the Bible from the Bible, except to yourself and witnessing to others and the Holy Spirit testifying to the hearts of those who are humble enough to listen and hear. And that still boils down to FAITH. And when you cite your proofs as you have in your additional comments, you are still just preaching to the Choir for those of us who believe it and our faith may be increased by your statements. Those who do not accept and reject the Bible will still do so. It takes the Testimony of the Holy Spirit to teach truth.

"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

(Revelation 19:10)
