I'm putting together a booklet/book (depending on final length) describing Wicca in language non-Wiccans can understand. While its been done before, I think the result is often what Wiccans want non-Wiccans to know instead of addressing questions non-Wiccans would actually like answered.

Questions can be basic or complex. I'm running the whole spectrum. I'm also including the topic of magic in this, even though some argue that is ultimately a separate topic from Wicca.

Okay so here goes I finally went to a Mass in the Catholic Church today. Anyway I felt kind of weird at first and lost as I'm not use to all of the rituals. If anything I pretty much did what I saw everybody else do as I sat at the back of the church. Anyway I cried three times when I prayed but then again I did something to hurt somebody emotionally. Anyway I shivered a little bit as well. I guess some would say that was the Holy Spirit. It's funny becasue for a brief moment after the Mass was over I felt happy although I am still somewhat depressed about things in my life. So have you ever felt this way while praying or in church? Also I haven't received Commuion or Confirmation yet but I was wondering if I could still have gone up anyway and if the priests do some sort of blessing?

Don't atheists believe in natural selection, and survival of the fittest? You have an atheist who has abortions, no children, and their career as their life on one side. They die, and are done. Then you have a Christian with many children on the other side.

Survival of the fittest.

I mean I believe in God and everything I'm just confused if its real or not because God could have created humans but just in the form of evolution. And with the story about when God created everything that could have just been his way of doing it. I know there was 7 days of creation when God made everything I believe that but I believe some things were created throughout a period of time like humans.

Noah was ridicules because he was building an ark in the middle of the desert. He told men that if they did not repent from their sins, God was going to cause rain to fall from heaven and flood the earth.

Why did they refuse to believe him?

yeah just like to know, all you christians think god created everything, who created god then? Don't say he created himself please, that would be extremely stupid. Science created god, right?

God knew that English was the perfect language. That's why He wrote the Bible in English. He also knew that the English words "I" and "Eye" would sound the same.

The "I" is the irreducibly complex self and proves the existence of man.
The "eye" is the irreducibly complex organ and proves the existence of God.

How can someone not see the beauty of the parallelism of the two sentences? God knew these sentences would be parallel and that is why he chose to have intelligent design advocates discuss the irreducible complexity of the eye rather than another organ.

Keep in mind the fact that it doesn't matter that the eye is not actually irreducibly complex. The beautiful parallelism in the statement above is all the proof required of Intelligent Design.

In fact, God worked so hard on making that linguistic parallelism that he didn't have time to create good arguments for intelligent design. That's why all ID arguments (including this one) are so weak.

1/3 the hosts of heaven fell away. So 66% of his angels turned out ok.

He created 2 PERFECT human beings, who had direct communication with God, and they couldn't follow 1 simple law. 100% of 2 perfect human beings, failed.

Yet all he asks of us, is to believe in a book, men wrote thousands of years ago, about events that happened thousands of years before they wrote it.

God says YES I can mate in heaven and love my wife forever, but he says NO to everyone eles. But I have to wait for God to give me a wife by his hand, not take her my self and say I love her my self, so I do not love her my own way kind of thing, but love her, with the love of the father. 1 john 2:15-16.

I seek over and over confirming it unto God, he says yes to me and no to everyone eles...... I know why, but what would you follow, YOUR prayer unto God which is answered by yes, backed with the bible......OR

the christians who don't really care about their marraige and just want to get in heaven, and almost dame the great seeker to hell with his disire for a wife. And they say over and over there is no need for her in heaven, like they do not care one bit for there love for their mate. HAVE YOU ASKED GOD WHY YOU HAVE TO BE LIKE THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN? in stead of loving your wife charishing her, and worshiping your father in heaven?

I'm not religious at all. but please don't just post random bible quotes or stuff like that, i'm looking for a more logical explanation of what the bible or religion would explain this.

from what I know about christian, catholic, etc type of religions don't you have to believe in jesus to be 'accepted' into heaven? if this is right, then where did everyone go when they died before jesus was born and obviously this belief didn't yet exist? thank you

I'm not sure who is more deluded, the Believers or the Atheists.
Here's a few things I've been wondering -you might want to do a copy & paste in WordPad. :-)

1. If you believe that there is no life after death, why haven't you invested in having your head frozen after death? It probably wouldn't work but isn't a slight chance of survival better than none?

2. Do you think about death or is just something that happens to other people?

3. Why do you have children if you know that you are condemning them to face being obliterated from existence the same as you do?

4. Where do you think life (and by life I mean consciousness and sentience) comes from?

5. Why do you think it is more likely that the Universe came into existence from nowhere by itself than being created by a God - or Gods? Both are equally impossible events.
And before anyone gives me the "in quantum physics, effect can precede cause" answer, you must then answer how that law of quantum physics came into existence.

What should I tell her?
