Rev. 12:9,12
9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him...12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Satan another word for Devil; A fallen angelic being who is the supreme enemy of God. The title devil appears 35 times in the NKJV. The term comes from a Greek word that means "a false wittiness" or "malicious accuser."
"And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads; And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and did cast them to earth; and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born" (Rev, 12:3-4). "And there was war in heaven; Michael and His angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels; and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven; and the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiver the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him ( Rev, 12:7-9)."

Yes he was cast out. Revelation 12:7-9 To the person who thumbed me down. What? Can't read? What are you doing here then? It happened when earth's history changed forever for the worst and the earth has never been the same, 1914, when the whole world went to war, WW1, it was the year Christ Jesus was enthroned by his Father, and casting Satan and his demons out of heaven was his first act as king of the Messianic Kingdom. Now Christ is ruling in the midst of his enemies, separating the sheep from the goats.

There are three heavens.
Satan has been cast out of the heaven of God, but resides yet in the lower heaven.
Therefore Paul calls him the Prince of the Power of the Air (Greek aer = lower atmosphere contiguous with earth) - see Ephesians 2:2
He will be cast down to earth soon. Then he will establish his earthly representative, the Antichrist.
In the days of the 7th trumpet, a yet future event we read:
"And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
"Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Christ.
For the accuser of our brothers,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
Therefore rejoice, you heavens
and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury,
because he knows that his time is short."

Dear comingintheclouds,
We read in Revelation 12:7-9, "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
Mistakenly, many people do not realize that "Michael" means chief messenger, not arch angel. Christ is the chief messenger-He is the Gospel and brought the Gospel. Christ is God but appeard to Joshua as the Angel of the Lord. He appeared to Mnoah and his wife (parents of Samson). In the book of Daniel we read, "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." (Daniel 12:1, 2).
Michael is another name for Jesus Christ. He is God.

It's discussed in the Book of Revelation, and some claim that the "Day Star, Son of Morning, how you have fallen" quote from one of the Jewish prophets is a clear allusion to the devil's fall from grace (despite the fact that most believe it to be a reference to one of the local kings - probably nebuchadnezzar or something - I haven't really looked into the bible recently. Google "son of morning" and I'm sure you'll find the pertinent quote. Bear in mind, though, that this is strictly jehovist partisan propaganda. We, on the other side, have a more well-rounded presentation of the story. All the best, Lazarus

to lalala:
What does this passage mean?
"For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son;
today I have become your Father"? Or again,
"I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son"? And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
"Let all God's angels worship him." In speaking of the angels he says,
"He makes his angels winds,
his servants flames of fire." But about the Son he says,
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy." He also says,
"In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end." To which of the angels did God ever say,
"Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet"? Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"

For the ignorant ones who say the event in Revelation chapter 12 is past, are you saying then that a war has taken place which wiped out one third of mankind as recorded in Revelation chapter 9:13-20; or that this has taken place:
15The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ,
and he will reign for ever and ever." 16And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17saying:
"We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.
18The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your saints and those who reverence your name,
both small and great—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth."

Yes,
Satan was told to bow down to Adam but disobeyed out of Pride.
Out of revenge he whispered to his enemy until they also slipped.
Then all were cast down onto the earth.
The Garden was the place of beauty and the earth was the desolate place.
The Garden of Eden was in fact not on this earth.
Both Satan and Adam/Eve were cast down from the Paradise.
