It is clear that the Catholic Church is the largest worldwide promoter of pediphia and gay sex between adult males and boys. See http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070715/ap_o...

So why are they opposed to adults engaging in the same behavior their leaders enage in with children?

I saw a few questions asked by some atheists here on Answers and usually there was at least one Christian who would challenge him/her to name one flaw in Christianity.
Now here I am, with due respect to Christianity, I have a few questions for Christian people. Will you kindly answer them if you can?

Let's start from the beginning:

"God created the Earth and rested on the 7th day."

1. If God is so powerful, why did he get exhausted?
2. What exactly did he do on the 8th day?
3. Why did He take so long to create Earth (which is like a grain of sand in a sea beach compared to the universe) and create the rest of the universe in just a 'poof'?
4. If you say he's so powerful, why didn't he just create the whole universe in that 'poof'?

I can go on forever asking questions like this, as you go through the Bible. May I have your answers now?

Do you believe a man called Jesus was crucified on a cross around 2000 years ago but was not the son of God and God himself?

I've heard it said that god-belief and the notion that god is the source of all creation is not in conflict with the ideas of science and I am in complete disagreement... how about you?

in Q&A husband beating could anyone tell me why.?Years ago through my work I went to visit an old ladyand she was having a wee cry. It seems that her daughter-in-law was always hitting her son, and he was forever turning up with black eyes.I was surprised when I discovered he was 5ft 10in and almost twelve and a half stone, and his wife was only 5ft nothing. Why do these men let their wifes do it to them, it cant be love because who would love a person who knock seven bells out of them. And it seems it goes on all over the world, some of these men are the boss, to lots of men under them
and can be a hard boss, yet when they go home they become a big softie to their wifes.
Does anyone know why men wont speak up for themselves, or have ther wifes charged with husband abuse.

I know it has something to do with his theory that bananas prove the existence of God, or something like that. Can someone tell me what it is? Please don't give me links to click on, just a brief summary will do.

His banana obsession seems a weird thing to me; kind of phallic, I say.

are particularily happy with their religion? Yet non-Muslims insist were oppressed terrorists :-S I think we know ourselves and our religion the best & that's why more than 1.6 billion Muslims happen to be peaceful.

Acknowledge the terrorists as the beacons of Islam and you let evil triumph over evil. Lose hope and you've lost the war. Non-Muslims need to appreciate, encourage and respect the Muslim majority is peaceful to contribute to the greater good. All we ever get is mockery and scoff at our peaceful remarks reputed by out of context verses. Is that how you respond to a peace effort? I've nearly given up. NO one can tell me I'm oppressed or violent without knowing me. You must be brainwashed.

No please show me otherwise that u all do not believe like this.

Peace

Matthew 5 (KJV)
5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

I know the bible says that salvation isn't by works but where does it say that you have to understand that or that you can't add anything to faith alone in order to be saved? As long as the main focus of their faith is christ, then why would a technicality like believing they had to go to church as well as have faith make them unsaved. Unlike groups like JWs who deliberately pervert the scriptures and deny the divinity of christ all together, some people belive in jesus and are just confused about scripture because some parts are ambiguous as to what is required and while it is implied, the exact phrase salvation by faith alone isn't really used in the bible, so it gets interpreted as being saved by adding works to faith.

My last 2 questions had the term Fundy, which is short slang for Fundamentalist.
As with much of the English language slang dictates and changes word meanings. 20 years ago bad meant bad and now in many conversations it is used to mean something is good.
Since the 9/11 attacks and the word "Islam fundamenatlism" became a hot media word...the word findamentalist has since evolved to something more sinister, more like someone who is a zealot.
Often new definitions start out slang. Right now if you look up fundamentalist in the urban dictionary you get some rather negative definitions.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fundamentalist
Which may not seem important now...but I think this is the start of a trend for future use of the word.
So what I am wondering is those who belong to a "Fundamentalist Church" do you think in the future the church will stray from that term (even though I know it has historical perspective) because it is becoming a negative word?

I would like to know what is would be considered: You don't care for religion / but you aren't spritiual / you believe in God / but don't go to church / you don't worship him (meaning that you don't pray, go to church, deliver his word to others or anything like that) / you feel that all religion isn't worth the hype / you don't believe in heaven, hell, purgatory, paradise or anything like that...

What is that? Is that a common things that people believe? What would you call that?

Here's something I've noted. When asked a spirtiual question that may question their religion christians resort to the bible. An example being "The bible says Jesus died for me and love me and that is how i know god is real". But if a question is asked that shows the bible to be false they will fall back on spiritual experiance. Exampling being "God has filled me spirtually so I feel him every day."
Why can't a question be answered on topic? If any chrisitan on here would really listen to the bible based questions and answers on here they would see that the bible is filled with contradictions, bigotry, and hate. I know all the chrisitans ill respond with "What contradicitons or bigotry" like they didn't read the hundreds of Q&As in the past that sited them. If you want to base your faith off of spiritual experiance why not do just that instead of subjecting your self to the title, dogma, and clear bigotry that is christianity?
