We (mankind/earth) may be seen as a nasty nano-something in a transition of which we really know nothing about. We live in a dimension of which we think we understand a lot both by faith and by science. But that's all myths and metaphors that may give many among us a glow of certainty. But that may be of the same level of fairy tales for adults.
There are some fancy minds of the religious or scientific or philosophical type who declare that there are other imperscrutable dimensions in and outside our present dimension, and so some fancy fellows that are alluding to our reality as an immense sequel of eggs inside eggs, or of eggs around eggs if you prefer. Some say that the Universe is like an immense incommensurable onion. Some say other things. Some speak about genes down to earth and call us gene machines. Some speak about aliens, mostly in order ot entertain and to impress some of us.
Anyway, there may be a sort of transcendental meaning behind all this that we are not able to fetch nor to grasp. Not yet. Maybe never in our present level of evolution.

lol. I've pondered that idea before, that we're just a science experiment for a child of an alien race far more advanced than us. I've also wondered if God is just a bored alien that made the universe for his own amusement, and views us the same way we view ant farms. Who knows. It's a mystery.

We are. And the aliens are just a huge laboratory experiment for BIGGER aliens. And the bigger aliens are just a huge laboratory experiment for yet BIGGER aliens. And THOSE aliens are just a huge laboratory experiment for even BIGGER aliens. And the even BIGGER aliens are just a figment of God's imagination.

A laboratory where the "prime directive" has been broken?.....Of course its crossed my mind. Its much more probable than believing that a magic sky God creates and controls our destiny.

I have often thought am I myself part of an elaborate test of mankind to see if mankind is Good,a test being run by some greater being.A bit like the truman show film .Im not religous though and i dont honestly think i am part of a test but it has crossed my mind before thats how i found this.

Of course an idea like that has probably crossed many people's minds. Although...without any evidence...it's kind of hard to buy into.

Nope, but I once or twice wonder if we are perhaps micro organism inside some bigger. Similar to bacteria inside of us.
