FEELING angry is not a sin. Using destructive behavior IS a sin. If I feel angry at you....no big deal. If I ACT on that anger and slash the tires on your car -- that's the sin.

If I wish you to drop dead, there's no sin. If I enjoy those thoughts and keep going back to those thoughts/desires and enjoy them -- that's sin.

God is very, very slow to anger....and there is such a thing as righteous anger -- such as when Jesus chased everyone out of the temple court because of all of the buying and selling. God's anger, then is always of the righteous type....but Scripture tells us that he is quick to forgive.

Controlled, positively-focused anger is not a sin. Positively controlled anger encourages Christians to seek and find either a: a solution b: forgiveness c: reconciliation. It is a sin to let anger fester, grow, foment, and boil, for the physical, psychological, and emotional reasons that unresolved anger damages NOT the person/thing/place you might be angry at, but that it damages the person who is angry. That is why Jesus said do not let the sun go down upon wrath, because Jesus knew that angry people do NOT rest, have NO peace, and will wake up in the morning in a far worse physical, mental, and emotional state.

Getting angry is a sin called wrath when you let that control you or do violence either verbal, physical or psycological. Fell angry is not enough, you must permit that felling to continue inside you, in order to be a sin.

Honestly God never get angry, saying God is angry means that if you commit a sin, is like God are angry because you harm yourself spiritually

It is not a sin. The Bible says so. It says not to sin in your anger.
It also says not to let the sun go down on your anger....go and make up. Forgive the person you are angry with.
James 1:19 just says to be slow to anger.

God is not angry with us when we do the wrong thing. He is sad.

no anger is not a sin, it is what you do with your anger that is sin if i go hit someone because i am angry that is sin. where do you get this idea of god always being angry at us, if that were true we would have ceased to exist along time ago.

Christians will say that God cannot sin but they also say that sin makes God angry, therefor anger cannot be a sin.

Yes: unless it is anger for goods sake, if you see what I mean :
For instance you might get angry with yourself because of something you did that you later thought was wrong and regretted. So you reproach yourself out of anger for your misdeed or sin. Anger in this case would be meritorious.

Hope this makes sense :)

Thanks.

Anger is the Guru (Teacher) of Sin!
Anger should be managed in ones life, or the repercussions
will be sadness, heartache, and eventual misery.

In my beliefs and the spiritual path i follow, the mysterious divine energies that we refer to as god(s)/goddess/ higher power....(however you want to address your god)
anyway....my god(s)/goddess are loving and patient. They do not get angery with me...
Anger is looked upon as one of the "7 deadly sins" as referred to in the bible. These things are looked upon by my spiritual program as defects of character that we all experience in one form or another. We can never be completely be rid of these, but we can work on them.

Just my thoughts....Blessings
