My friend, please read about the history of the world and of our current condition as well. Throughout the world their has been murder, slavery and oppression of individual freedom. Just take a look at Russia, The Middle East, Africa, South America and China for example and you will see that the world is still a dark and curel place. Governments are killing and oppressing their people as we speak in a large part of the world. To speak as though we are loosing our rights here because of Christians is foolish.
America has offered its people the most freedom of any country in the history of the world. America was founded by those who feared God. If you ever visit D.C., take notice of the many Bible verses that are quoted from our founders and earlier presidents. Take for instance what the Father of our country had to say, "It is impossible to govern without God and the Bible." Lets not forget that our founders thought that our rights are "....endowed by their Creator."
Most of the founders were either Christians or believed in the necessity of Judeo-Christian values and from these values we have begotten our freedoms and liberty. Take away our Christian values and heritage and all you have is man made morality. If you want some examples of man made morality take a look at what effects communism has had on the world in the last century....about 150 million murdered in the name of building a utopia on earth.

Who are these "radical Fundamentalist" Christians? Most Christians, like most people, don't like others imposing their views on them, so most Christians wouldn't put up with the "vicious assault" you mentioned.
defconamerica.org (Defending the Constitution) is one organization for Patriotic Americans, but I wouldn't support them because I think their methods of regaining the rights they believe they have lost might involve depriving me of mine.

a Patriotic American is a Christian...one nation under God...is a person who has voted those rights into laws and fought for those rights....they were the authors of the constitution and the bill of rights....
What part of God Bless America don't the atheist and agnostics understand??
the only ones assaulting the laws are the agnostics and the atheists trying to alter and change the laws to the point they are worthless

inequality and those that support it have long existed, just only recently they found the radical right and "moral majority" to be a platform
I at one time was patriotic until I went to Iraq and saw the pilaging for a dollar by corporations and realized our history and notion of a patriotic america was indeed a lie and I have been depressed since
all I can do is quit living for others and live for my family and try to better my life and those around me

Your avatar has a mullet.
The first thing to do is cut that off.
The second thing to do is to start supporting a political party that doesn't embrace the utter erosion of all the things you said. Unfortunately, both Democrats and Republicans have embraced the formula of solving all problems via new legislation. Good luck with that one.

You must be dyslexic! It is "civil" right nut jobs like yourself that is ruining the constitution. You cannot even read it right and see what the Christian founding fathers wished to happen. So many documents tell what the fathers wished and you are trying to abort the real origins of our country.

It was Christians who wrote the Constitution. Hence the wording. It is the atheist radicals who are attempting to change it.
