The majority of mosques worldwide are certain to have some weaponery. Naturally its all for "self defense". However, most countries have statutes regulating firearms and places that can store or sell firearms.

The accumulation of weapons in a mosque is so common, it doesnt seem to make sense to call them "places of worship" but instead, either close them down or regulate them the same way you would regulate any militia or weapon silo.

If God only lets 144,000 (or whatever the number is) into his kingdom, why do they work so hard at recruiting new members. That just decreases their own chances of making it in before its at capacity.

When I look down at a new born baby, I don't think, "What a wretched little sinner. Look how evil he is. He deserves eternal punishment in hell..."

No one is perfect, but is that so wrong? Why can't we just try to be pretty good?

At least 2 basic concepts of god worship (having lots of babies, hatred of outsiders) seem designed to pass down genetic material. Could this be evolution at work?

Almost everyone knows I'm a Shiat Muslim... so no one should assume that any of my answers regarding Islam is out of the Shiat teachings...

SO... how come sometimes when I quote someone important to Shiasm (like Imam Ali a.s. or Imam Sadiq a.s.)... without mentioning their name or their book... I get tons of thumbs up and their sayings are very valid...
BUT... when I mention their books (e.g. Imam Ali's a.s. or Imam Sadjad's a.s.)... suddenly their teachings become false and the thumbs down keep pouring in?

This is mostly for the Christians, and I am a Christian, who strongly oppose homosexuality. I have read it many times on here that homosexuality is a sin as listed in Leviticus and Romans. Do we also forget that divorce is a sin. I am divorced and I am remarried now and my former spouse is still alive, am I going to hell as well? Do you think it is simply easier to go about screaming abominations to those who are gay because you aren't gay? Do you also fight for laws to ban divorce? And, I am not saying homosexuality is right or wrong. . .there are many things listed in the Bible as sin but it seems there are a few that are easier to scream about because we do not deal with it in our own personal lives. And, do you really think that Jesus would stand in a picket line? How would Jesus respond to homosexuals or divorced people such as myself?

Since Jesus and his disciples were practicing Jews, they would have followed the kashruth laws. At some point, this practice was set aside. When was that, and what was the divine inspiration that allowed people to excuse this?

Now CHRISTIANS how do YOU treat animals? They're part of GOD'S CREATIONS and you think we were given DOMINION over them but even if we do eat them does that justify treating them so HORRIBLY?

An atheist holds that there is no God.

An agnostic is someone who holds that it is impossible to know whether there is a God or not.

Most religious beliefs are based on Faith rather than knowledge.

It follows that all religious people must also be agnostic.

Do you agree and if not why not?

One Side of Pagans saying
"When god flooded the earth, wasn't he taking away people's free will to LIVE?"

not to mention their free will to follow him or not. what about all the little babies and little kids who were killed in the flood? they had never sinned.

i know some of you will say that god was punishing mankind for all the sins of mankind, but you have also said that god doesn't mess with free will, and i'm pretty sure those people would have chosen life with their free will

Other side of atheists saying "If there is a God then why Does he allow so much Bad to happen nowadays"

So NOW you can see the inconsistenty of you thoughts. Now when you look at the world and think deeply, it is because of Human decisions that everything has become quite a mess. What do you say?

A) A just god would judge you by how you lived your life and treated others, not what you believed, felt or thought.

B) An unjust god isn't going to give you any slack either way, so religion really isn't going to help you. We're all screwed anyway.

C) If god(s) are not real then it doesn't matter.

In any scenario, is there a reason NOT to be a free thinking atheist?
