True Christians on this forum already know that not everyone agrees with them, so they expect others to have views that are different than theirs. I, for one, disagree more with people who profess to be Christian than I do with atheists. However, I don't give thumbs down to anyone because in the end, the asker decides who he/she wants to grant a Best Answer to.

Mark Twain is supposed to have said, "there's nothing more dangerous than a born again Christian with a loaded gun."

I don't know if he really said that, but I'm glad somebody did. I think the problem comes when you have people who become self rightous and unwilling to listen to anyone else. Whether you believe in God or not, it is belief. The Pope cannot prove the existance of God, and any athiest cannot prove God does not exist to any degree of certainty.

Maybe it's because the truth can come out of a hellish mouth. Or it might be the fact that outside of religion we are all human and have thoughts, feelings, insecurities, doubts,....oh yeah and compassion. Just because someone is an atheist does that mean they don't care about other people? Hmmmm ..........

I give tons of honest answers and get tons of "Thumbs down" from Atheist.

Just because we forgive and forget, does not mean that we have to right to state our opinion.

Peace!

Matthew 5 is the least popular chapter in the bible among Christians, because that's where all the teachings of Christ are that no one wants to obey.

Religion is often used for ill-will towards those that do not conform to their beliefs. It is often used more for discrimination than realized. If you need proof, just ask the 3000+ families of the people lost in the WTC.

Maybe it's because most of the time the atheists are overwhelmingly rude and offensive. The other day a guy said that Christians had no brains, which is totally uncalled for.
