why do catholics believe in purgatory if there is no such place taught about or mentioned in the Bible. i would seriously like to know this.

How many Christians on here waited-or are waiting until marriage before having sex? And do you feel that, in light of the fact that back in the days the Bible was written, people were marrying around the age of 14 or 15, it is reasonable to expect people to wait today? (Considering average people marry now between 25 & 35 years old? 10-20 years later than people of old.) And *if* so, do you think it is reasonable to also forbid masturbation? I'm just curious about the varying opinions on this subject.

is smoking a sin? I swear this is a honest question. I literitly have no idea. I believe in god but i dont go to church or anything like that. This girl i work with invited me to this church camp thing where we camp and raft and that sort of thing and if it is a sin im going to try and do it when others are not around. If your going to lecure me about smoking do not give me an answer. Thanks everyone.

he has given us and the ONLY thing he did not give us is our sins but, he has determined that he will accept them because we have nothing else. He takes our sins and gives us back eternal life. How could people on this site talk about how unfair he his?

Do you agree that religion today is peddled to the masses like a commodity in the market, The once with the biggest blow horns and massive advertising ( or preaching) get the largest followers irrespective of the philosophy?Christian, Muslims,Jehovahs Witness spend a ton on preaching.I never had a Hindu, Bhudist or a Jew knock on my door.Any comments?

If Christians are wrong we lived a joyfull life and loved everyone as ourselfs. We would be just like everyone else in the world and have no hope after we die.
I tell you though if we are right, then we will be judged by Gods standards and there are only two places to go to after we die. Those places are Heaven and Hell. What do you think about this?
