I agree with DudeGuy and MsLady -- I am a Christian & that is NOT how you win anyone to Christ. If you had shown an interest or ask questions, then of course he would think you were interested, but if you never have and have just gone along with him to be polite, then now you need to very politely tell him you are not interested and are uncomfortable by his advances. I would be worried that he has more than religion in mind. Do you have to go to the dr frequently? Is he some kind of specialist? Are there other doctors in your area that you could go to? You should go to him one more time and explain how you feel, and if you are still uncomfortable, ask for a referral to another doctor.

Absolutley. Everyone is entirled to their own choice of religion, even you and him. Personally I would worry about the level of care I was getting if my doctor asked me to pray with him. It doesn't matter which religion it is. How would you feel if your doctor forced you to play golf or watch American Idol? Beyond basic small talk, you and your doctor should never discuss anything but the health and care of you and your family. A doctor's office is a place of science. Talking to God in a place of science is an oxymoron.
You know he's a devout Christian if he still charged you a hundred dollars an hour while he was trying to convert you.

I'd definitely find another doctor. This guy is using his office as a damn mission field to prey upon unsuspecting individuals (especially those who may be temporarily vulnerable) to promote his stupid religion.
First, I'd tell him to stuff his Bible because the heathen ain't having none of that.
Second, I'd find another doctor (and tell them why you left this nut) QUICK.
Third, report him to the medical board for his unethical (and yes illegal) behavior.
Maybe you can get the jerk BANNED by the board.
That would be real justice!

Yes by all means discuss it with him. I have known doctors who bring their faith into the office. For those who share their belief it is comforting. I have heard people talk about how wonderful it is that the doctor cared enough to pray.
However no doctor should impose their faith on you. He may feel like you are open to talking about faith. So I would suggest that you tell him that he is making you very uncomfortable and you would like to keep the relationship professional. He should respect that. If he doesn't, I would recommend that you find another doctor.

Obviously, Trojan..., you have a born-again doctor and he is sharing his most prescious thing with you, his Savior. He will eventually invite you to some Bible studies unless you tell him quite frankly you are not interested. You need Bible studies, though, and should be thankful that your doctor is not Dr. Kevorkian.
I tell everyone I have an opportunity to dedicate their life to Jesus. That is running a risk of taking insults, but they insulted my Master first. How would I feel in a perfect eternity if I had done otherwise. Yes, I want to see you in heaven too.
In fact, I'll invite you to read a site that proves Jesus is the promised Messiah. http://abiblecode.tripod.com
Blessings, Balaam
P.S., I've never had a doctor pray with me, what town is he in?

Thank him for his concern but tell him that his attempts to convert you are making you uncomfortable and you would rather not discuss religion with him.
If he can't take your concerns into account and won't leave you alone then switch doctors, it's a bad sign if he is insensitive on any issue and you have to wonder if he'll resent you if you don't convert and, if he does, will he still provide the best care.

Pay close interest to Uncle Joe. He in reality gave you techniques it fairly is in a scientific institution, and it under no circumstances even took place to me to ask if the placing replaced right into a scientific institution.with ties to a non secular team. if so, the moral & non secular Directives for the Catholic Church kick in. you will locate them on line The by-God reality is that faith is a factor of the assessment the wellness care team could desire to do even in a mundane placing. fairly the hospitals have chaplains on team. The chaplains do cruise the flooring, rather ICU's, CCU's and ER's. The medical doctors and nurses are grateful to establish them by way of fact they remedy maximum of issues; sufferers' households could properly be a brilliant discomfort, as you're proving. Plus, a sensible chaplain and wellness practitioner or nurse will seek for each others' pointers to maintain factor from getting nuts. not something smells humorous interior the tale you offered...different than the incontrovertible fact which you seem to have lost touch with reality for somewhat. a non secular Conspiracy? fairly?? replaced into the Pope in contact, or only Opus Dei and the Knights? Tell him thanks for telling you about what he believes, but this is not what you are coming to him for. He's a doctor not a minister/pastor. Whether you are a christian or not, or what ever your religion is, your doctor shouldn't be pushing his religion on you. If he can't except that, than it's time to find a different doctor.

Tell him you don't want him to do that any more. Consider reporting him to whatever medical board licenses doctors in your state. Find another doctor.
I'm not against Christians evangelizing. It's just that there's a time and a place for everything, and frankly that's a little creepy.

You need to report this doctor to the state officials in charge of the 'doctor's licensing' ... it is ILLEGAL for a doctor to 'push religion' on ANYONE ... and his 'doing prayers and Talking to GOD in his office' is WAY OUT OF LINE! He may have 'the best intentions' but he's a doctor, and they MUST follow the 'hippocratic oath' ... and there is NOTHING in that about 'pushing one's religion' while tending to a patient's 'medical needs' ...
