why is it that gays and other people are allowed to bash Christianity and other religions, then when anyone opens their mouth to speak their opinion about homosexuals they get verbally harrassed? Doesn't the 1st Amendment protect out right to "free speech"? then why are we getting that right taken away and homosexuals aren't? shouldn't we have the right to say what we want since others do? what's wrong with society now a days?

...does it really matter if we let gays marry or keep abortion legal? What difference does it make? If the End Times are coming, why are so many churches building enormous, expensive new mega churches?

Hmmmmm....

Do u ever recieve text messages from ppl, like religious messages that say 'forward this message to (insert number) people and ur wishes will come true or u will find happiness etc etc?
I find these texts SO ANNOYING. I received one from a friend just now, and she told me in the message' if you don't forward this to 9 people you will have 9 years bad luck. This was the message:
Al Qayyum, Al Majid, Al Wajid, Al Wahid, Al Ahad, Al Samad, Al Qadir, Al Malik, Al Rehman, Al Rahim, Allah never fails, iss msg ko 9 lougo ko send karain, aap ko kal ek khush khabri milegi, agar aapne inkar kar dia to 9 saal tak bad kimat rahoge ye sabit ho chuka hai, kya aap Allah k liya 9Rs kharch kar saktay hain?
In English - send this msg to 9 ppl and u will receive glad tidings tomorrow, if you don't then u will have 9 years bad luck, this has been prooved. Can you spend the cost of 9 exts for the sake of Allah?

What do u people think of these kinda message?? Do you forward them on or ignore them??

If you think about it, believing in a god is like taking the easy way out. Life is better if you have some one that you can always talk to. Its easier to tell your self that when you die you get to go to a beautiful place, rather then telling your self that life is just over and done with... And if you get what you pray for, you're filled with faith, and you feel that there might just really be some powerful spirit out there that is helping you along your way.
But when you dont believe in any type of god, Life seams to be a bit more challenging. You dont always have some one to talk to, and you feel like your alone alot more then some one who believes in a god.
So now you would ask your self...
Why doesnt everyone just believe in a god?
Well, what if not everyone can lie to themselves?

So wouldnt that mean that it would take a really strong person to be an atheist??

I was even making fun of myself in some of these, and people still got mad.

As Christians, are we not allowed to joke or have fun?

I am pretty disappointed to hear people mocking the Idea of Paris Hilton finding God. I do not find it funny at all! In fact I find it rather blasphemous. When one says they believe in God and want to make a change in their life we should be happy for them!!! I just can't believe the garbage I am hearing people say about this woman! Yes she made a mistake! Yes she has money! But if she is truly repentent, God will accept her with open arms! This isn't only for people who where raised in church or never make mistakes. (Anyone who thinks they never make mistakes actually is worse off than someone who makes them everyday) She is being made out to be like a murderer when she never killed anyone! I do not understand the way people think today.

difference between philosophy and religion, as most of the time they think I am refering to religion when I say philosophy.

Religion - is what you believe, for the after-life and this life as well.

Philosophy - is the way you think.

You can be a Christian with Taoist Philsophy.

You can be a Muslim with Buddhist Philsophy.

Please remember this lesson.

Is Sunday worship really Sun-god worship?!? does it matter what day you attend church?!? is the Seventh day/ Saturday the true sabbath of the lord our God?!? Was the sabbath done away with at the cross?!? Did Jesus and the apostles keep the Seventh-Day Sabbath day before, during, and after Christ's resurrection?!? Is the sabbath just for the Jews or Is it a rest for all humanity?!? Did our all-knowing God make a mistake when He called his commandments the Ten Commandments instead of the nine or eight commandments?!? Did the anti-Christ according to Daniel 7:25 really think to change times and laws (Gods Commandments)?!? Does the Commandments of god equal love?!? Does it really matter?!?

I have a Christian friend who does not respect my views on religion or the fact that I am a Catholic. She is a good friend in general but she is very persistent about inviting me to her Church and conveniently ignores the fact that I don't want to go to church with her. I don't want to hurt her feelings so I haven't directly confronted her about it but I would like to know how to get her to stop, or if I can do so. It seems that for many non-denominational Christians, persistently inviting people to church, no matter what their views or religion, is the way to go. PLEASE no smart aleck responses. I only wish for constructive advice.

It is true and documented that a baby in the womb, in 1st trimester shows obvious negative reactions if the Mother carrying that baby even THINKS of lighting up a cigarette! Pain is felt at all stages and where does this lie come from? The abortion mills?
By the way, the word "fetus" is a latin word meaning "BABY in the womb".

Everytime I read the bible I find it harder and harder to believe. I'm being raised to believe God is almighty but when I read it with a open mind a lot of it is contradictory. What other religions are there? I may stay Christian but I'm willing to try and find the truth.

"The underwear doesn't save us. Baptism saves us. The underwear, if we honor it, just exalts us." ~ J the Mormon apologist.

If you want to see the original quote go to my question list. This is the 4rh time I've tried to post this. It doesn't seem to get past the Y!A censcrs. One of them must be Mormon.

This is from 1 Corinthians: 7:12-14. Does this mean that if a Christian marries an athiest, then the athiest is saved? Kinda like getting a green card to heaven?

12To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. 13And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy
