Paul, if that's your opinion I respect it. The sarcasm, not so much!

Kishimojun, that was mature of you. Come back after middle school.

Paul you're a good person. You have no need to apologize. My reference to truth is to initiate rather slyly your versions of what truth is to you. I already know what Truth means to me.

2Co 2:15& 16 For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?

For those who smell death, they just hate and may not even know why but they are convicted by the Spirit and take it out on any Christian they meet. So for them, yes it hurts that bad.

because they (non-Christians)can't understand why Christians believe what they do? they don't understand Christian Faith and so when we say the "truth of the Word of God" they get all freaked out and start making ugly remarks etc...they claim they don't believe or don't want to be believe but, post a question on here about Christianity, God etc...and here comes all the crap. all the worlds woes are the fault of religion (per non-Christians) and if a Christian makes a mistake, then all of a sudden were hypocrites. and yes the truth does hurt that bad.

Because people know that it takes someone special and set apart by God to live the dedicated lifestyle. Some people just want to do what they want to do, and they're intimidated by God's people. They don't want to admit it, but they are. Of course we know whose spirit is operating in their life. The enemy hates anyone that resembles God's likliness and image. Some are just not willing to change their ways, and instead of acknowledging Jesus they'd rather pretend it's a fable. To them that's their way of escaping the truth. But the Truth is simply just that..the Truth no matter how many scientific theories are thought of to combat the Word.

could be the fact that in the past(and present) some Christians caused a lot of damage, pain to someone all in the name of God/Religion. That would be enough for me too have feelings of negativity towards a particular group. I definitely have feelings of separation towards "certain Christians/groups". You know, as the saying goes, it only takes one apple to spoil the bunch....one mis- deed and EVERYone looks bad.

Words and labels should not be used as a basis of anger or any other emotion. Actions should be what illicit a response from you.

Words are, after all, mankind's failed attempt to explain the unexplainable and touch the intangible.

Probably Christians feel that anyone not a Christian is damned to hell (my religion doesn't even have a hell!) and it is their life's duty to convert each and every individual to change their wicked ways and become Christian. Methods of downgrading, condemning, accusing, and in the Middle Ages, death, were used to convert people to Christianity. It is not wonder non-Christians sigh and roll their eyes when Christians start to preach. In truth, there are several Christians that realize that their religion isn't right for everyone. But they are few.

Because of the bad behavior of so many of the Christians, of course.

How's that Truth feeling now?
===========================
My apologies for the sarcasm - I may have misjudged your comment about "the Truth". I assumed that you were falsely implying that the animosity towards Christianity was somehow caused by non-Christians secretly believing that Christians were right. Quite a few Christians have already made that claim in various deliberately insulting forms, so I assume that kind of childish behavior is what I'm looking at when I see something like this.

I'm not sure what you did mean by it, though. I can't see an honest alternative.

Because of comments like that. You say the truth hurts yet have no proof for it other than an old fairytale book.

I say it is because they have lack of knowledge about Christians. Some like to group us all together because they have run into some bad christians. We aren't all bad, we don't all claim to know everything as so they state.

Yep, especially if you know you're wrong and want to feel like its okay to do wrong when you feel like it. All i can say is don't worry about it, just live your life. I'm not exactly a saint, but know when i'm in the wrong and don't get offensive about it. Most people know when they're in the wrong, but don't want to feel guilty i guess. People like lying to themselves.
