the moral definition of adultery is for one individual of a married couple to engage in a sexual relationship with someone who is not their spouse. If so, then God and Mary had an adulterous relationship didn't they? That being said, then what would Jesus be considered? Mary and God weren't married, and Joseph never adopted Jesus, so; he would be considered illegetimate wouldn't he? Adultery is a relationship outside of marriage and babies born out of wedlock are illegitimate. That is the beliefs that churches hammer in to our psyches'. Isn't this a prime example of do as I say and not as I do.

The Book of Genesis clearly discusses the creation of the "Heavens and the Earth", and life on this world. Believers look to "the world around them" as proof of God's existence. Gottfried Leibniz once called Earth, "The best of all possible worlds", referring to the fact that God, being perfect and having created the Earth, must have created the best of all possible worlds.

Yet the most obvious cause of "all there is", is the sun! The sun is the one most responsible for pulling all the matter that made up the earth into the accretion disc that eventually formed the earth. It's nurturing light is responsible for the photosynthesis chemistry that helped life thrive. Is the sun not ever-present? Is it not the most powerful thing in the heavens?

So why don't believers in God believe the Sun is God? Is it because science has explained away the mystery, and denied followers the faith it relies on to keep believing? Will believers keep changing their definitions of God to suit their faith?

The Pastor of my Baptist Church teaches that at the moment of Death we stand before God and at that time are sent to Heaven or Hell. He teaches from the King James Version.

This question pop up my mind after I had read a few of believer's answer in my two questions;

1st Question;

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtO9o9cMvJsw_FgPFkkQhHDsy6IX?qid=20070617172944AA1loOL
Interseting Answers;

- God is justified in what He does.
- AS far as Genesis and God's right to kill. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

2nd Question;
Was God of Genesis RIGHT to kill people while He asked you not to Kill?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtO9o9cMvJsw_FgPFkkQhHDsy6IX?qid=20070617033912AAiIEbq
Intersting Answers;

- God's judgment are always just. We may not know the "whys", but I accept that He does things for a reason, and they are always right. He is the perfect being..
- They are not righteous as God have expected them

So here is my question;

Would it be RIGHT TO KILL innocents in today society, If God of Genesis said "KILLING IS RIGHT"

I've read that the original Communists shunned Christianity (or any other religion for that matter) because it was not just the "opiate of the masses" but a threat to the "struggle" of the working class.

Giving this some thought, how can the Christian faith (not the church itself) be against the "struggle" of the working class? It teaches people of any socio-economic status how to be successful in life.

Can anyone provide a good answer to this question? I am already familiar with the "Liberation Theology" and that's not what I'm looking for.

Whenever I look in the religion section of yahoo answers, I always find huge numbers of people that claim there is no god. If most people in the US are somehow religious, then why are so many users of this site atheists. Is the statistic wrong? are they lying about it or trying to be "rebels"? or is something else causing this odd ratio?

Its actually a rhetorical question and doesn't really warrant an answer. I mean, if you don't like what I do or the questions I ask why even comment? If Im asking a question, more than likely its because I actually want a serious answer. Regardless of what you comment Im gonna do what I want to do so your negativity is just wastin space. People always like to think they are better than others because they think a certain way. Fine think that, doesn't make it true. Calling me names and telling me Im being childish or whatever the comment is only giving me attention. Ever thought about that? I may not Know much about the industry but I do know that any publicity is good publicity. So keep calling me whore and telling me to do ungodly things with animals. Keep telling me Im unholy because it gives me the ammo I need to keep going. Im getting attention so I must be doing something right ;)

I asked a question earlier, Did Jesus ever laugh.

I got an answer ' just because it is not in the bible doesn't mean it did not happen'.

I say just because it is in the bible certainly does NOT mean that it did happen! Like Noah's Ark for example.

Anyone else think that American churches are becoming more and more superficial?

There is a story about this little town on a Sunday right before the service began. A young man entered the church and the whole church began murmuring under their breath. The man had old blue jeans, a torn shirt, scraggly hair - obviously a homeless person. All the people made sure there was no room for anyone to sit down so that he wouldn't sit next to him. The minister came out and the people kept on talking under their breath. Then right before the minister started to speak, the young man walked down the aisle a few feet and sat on the floor. Now everyone was appalled. Finally an old member of the church started walking toward the man. Everyone felt a little more at ease being that the man was going to be confronted about being there by a church elder. But instead, the elder sat next to him in the aisle.
Everyone became embarrasingly quiet again, and the minister began his sermon....

I simply need a verifiable academic (or closest available) of the number of Historians that agree Jesus as a historical figure existed, how many don't, and it would be nice to get a figure stating the percentage of Christian historians within the Historical community.
