I mean really fly. Have any of you ever allowed yourself to be shot out of a cannon? It is done with springs you know. The explosion is just for effect. God what a rush. I did it for awhile when I was a kid. I even tried being a trampoline acrobat for awhile. Now I mostly do sky diving. I do some base jumping and hang gliding. I did try bungee jumping. I didn't like that much it was a dizzying experience. There is no better way than flying to get close to God. How many of you would like to come fly with me? SG

OK, of course atheists are going to say they do, because they don’t have to worry about sin. But I disagree. Being a Theist has its advantages, too:

Less fear of death

You suffer as much as any atheist, except it doesn’t bother you, because you believe you are going somewhere better, where there is no suffering. However, they believe this is all they have, so suffering means much more to them.

Don’t have to worry about STD’s.

Don’t have to worry about “unwanted pregnancies”

Don’t have to use birth control.

Your kids are growing up with the same morality, so there is less of a chance that you have to worry about them “misbehaving” (I sure didn’t!)

Don’t have to let money rule your life (remember the 1st Amendment?)

Don’t have to worry about your spouse being unfaithful.

Your children SHOULD respect you more.

Don’t have to work on Sunday’s.

Atheists, you may not believe in God, but you have to admit, we theists have it made. I am sure I missed some, too.

So, am I right? Do we have the best life, or do atheists?

(p.s. i believe we are not sinners at all but just curious of christian answers on this)

I know a lad who has cerebral palsy and learning difficulties. He has been raised as a jehovah witness and believes in this religion whole-heartedly. He has been told that he can not be baptized because his disability make him "un-perfect". He tells me this means he can not go to their promised land (which I believe is like heaven) and so therefore he will go to hell.
Can anyone explain to me how this can be fair?

I know too much about logic and other religions to return to the "Christianity" in which I was raised. Without evidence for God, I'm not going to start looking for him. If we applied that idea to every unknown possibility, we'd constantly be spending our time looking for flying hedgehogs and Santa Claus, and the same is true even if we only search out "God" in religion. There are too many possibilities.

So what I'm seeing is many Christians accusing me and others of sin simply because we do not search for God. Shall I accuse you of sin for not searching for Satan, Krishna, Allah, the Budda nature, etc?

These points have been made over and over again, but my question remains:

How is it my fault?

I am doing what I can to help her spiritually, but she is completely despondant.
I am not giving up on her and I would ask anyone who would pray to pray for her and for strength for me to help her.
What can you tell me to help her bear grief, abuse, and trust issues?
I'm stumped. I've tried everything.
Thank you in advance :)
She is a sunshine when she is happy. I want that back again.

being gay? i recently noticed that there was alot of hatred toward us (gays) in the LGBT section of yahoo answers and i thought to myself why? why do they hate us so much when god created us the way we are? you guys come in there saying we should be ashamed of what we are and that we need help and guidence from god. we're happy they way we are and if god hates gays, why did he create them? why must you direct all your hatred down on us when god was the one who created us? im not saying that all of you christians are like this but there is quite a few. i think that the christans who hate gays should stay out of the LGBT section in the first place, it seems more logical to me to stay away from something that you hate instead of communicating with them. thanks and dont repost saying that I need help because im normal just the way i am and im proud to be who i am.

I have a question foir Christians. Like those Christian Movie reviewers, they go to watch all difrerent movies. Listen to certain music to review. How do they keep pure, and not have eyes full of lust.

I stay away from certain movies, and music to keep me pure, and not in the world...which im happy about.

But how do they do that? is there certain Christians that can do it? Could you as Christians, or do you think you wouldnt take that risk?

The question at hand is about people, as in "belief systems don't kill people, people kill people...", and "absolute power corrupts absolutely"

I am not necessarily referring to Jungian archetypes, a simple description will do.

I'll throw one out there: I suspect that someone with a somewhat chaotic synthesis of rational/sentimental traits in proportion to the degree of access and will to power is most vulnerable. I would describe such a person as one who abuses rationality to describe their feelings (such as an evolution-subtracted creationist) who intentionally democratizes that view to forward their agenda or the reverse: one who overuses emotion to characterize their 'rationality' (as in some form of zealot) having a will to the power of charisma, using mass 'sheepishness', or plain primal human instinct to incite emotional behavior or mob mentality in others qualify as the most 'corruptible' types of people.

What type of person do you think is most corruptible?

Serious question - Since you believe there is no continuance after you die, what is your purpose for living? Again, I'm asking a serious question...what is the point to your life? I've heard rememberance, people remember you when your gone, but as we all know within 50 years of your death the chances of someone still alive that has pasted on your memory is nil.

So my question again is, please tell me what purpose your life serves and/or what is reason for existing? I'm very curious about the answers, so please, try to answer as best as possible.

Thanks in advanced
