It is a thirty-bed inpatient facility for those seeking to escape the Religious Lifestyle. It will be facilitated strictly by atheist counselors. My question is, does any buddy know how I can take advantage of our federal government's faith-based grant program to get the facility up and running?

Here is my logic. I will likely be reported though (these are not my belief just the logic i would use if i were xtian)

1. A fetus is a person, a life that god cares about
2. A fetus is incapable of sin
3. Any person without sin or whose sins have been forgiven will enter heaven
4. Abortion is Murder
5. Murder is a sin
6. We can ask for forgiveness
7. Murderers can enter heaven


Ok I dont think any point on there is refutable by christian beliefs. Here is my logic. If we abort a fetus it will go directly to heaven and the aborter can simply ask for forgiveness. If this life is short and Heaven is eternal i am surprised ALL christians don't have abortions. After all your guarenteeing that your child will live eternally in heaven and you just confess and say your sorry.

my friend has became really religious (christian)...its not like shes a virgin, but she doesn't want to do 'IT' anymore since the bible is against pre-marital sex..

she said she wants to marry him just so she doesn't have to wait anymore and so she can do 'it' without guilt, since she's 'married' anyway...

she said that in the bible it says its better to be married, then single with lust

shes basically saying that the bible approves people getting married just so the couple can have sex...

I was just wondering what your opinions on my question are:

If Atheism is correct, if there is NOTHING after death, if we DID evolve from monkies and when we die we're going to rot...

What is the point of even living?

Why don't we all just kill ourselves now instead of waiting 75 years?

If I have nothing to look forward to, why even bother with life?

Accumulating wealth? What good is it when you're DEAD?

Enjoying yourself? So? You're going to end up DEAD anyways

If God doesn't exist and I just rot in a wooden box, I don't want to waste my time living! Then again, thats impossible because my time is worthless...

But you get the idea; if there is no afterlife, whats the point of living and then being buried?

Does anyone else think this is the scariest forum on Yahoo! Answers besides me? Today is my first day read this forum and I must say I am horrified! I can't believe people actually believe in this stuff! Maybe it's cause I live in a very tolerant area of the world (New York City), but is this truly what it is like elsewhere? People believing in demons and holy magic and spiritual warfare and gods and divine plans and all these bizarre meanings of life calling each other spiritual soldiers...At first I just laughed at these people and played them off as a small minority who was maybe inbred or brainwashed when they were younger (See Jesus Camp, the movie) but now I'm starting to see this infectious virus is more rampant than I thought. I've just read two answers that say we did not evolve from monkeys or apes, but from a common ancestor with the chimpanzee.

If we're going to fool the religious folk, we have got to get our stories straight.

Humans and chimps diverged from the ancestral -ape- stock some time after the Gibbon, the Orang, and the Gorilla (in that order).

The family of apes diverged from the ancestral -monkey- stock sometime after the split between Old World monkeys and New World monkeys (recall your biology classes and the subject of prehensile tails in NW monkeys but not in OW monkeys).

So are we descended from apes? Are we descended from monkeys?

Are we going to get our stories straight? ;-)

According to the gospel, God is the one who WARNED people that sin will result in separation from God, and the final disposition in the lake of fire.

It's not God's will that any should perish.

So God is the one who DOESN'T WANT PEOPLE TO BE TORTURED FOR ETERNITY. Not the one who perpetrates eternal torture!

In my opinion, atheists just use this as an excuse for their choice to not believe.

I've heard it argued that an atheist must have complete knowledge of the universe to say, "There is no God" and since no one has this knowledge, there are no atheists.

At one time, homosexual men didn't use any kind of protection because duh, they couldn't have babies. But in this day and age, I would think that a woman has as much as a chance of getting aids from a man as a man does, and a man has as much chance as getting aids from a woman that a man does from a man. That can only be filled by God. If it isn't filled w/ God then there is a void inside that can't be explained. People try to fill it with other things but it never feels satisfied because that is where God needs to be. Have any of you experienced this ?
