God indeed has created us to search for Him. Without that so-called "God-shaped hole" we humans, His most precious creations, would not be longing and yearning for that Divine love that only He could fill.
Yes, I personally have felt that there has been an empty, gaping hole within me that cannot be filled by anyone or anything. I was a depressive back then. I longed for love from a special someone and attention from my family, peers, and close friends. But then I met God and got the chance to have a personal relationship with Him (yes, that's possible). Everything changed in a positive sense. And my "God-shaped hole" became filled with God's overflowing love.

I have experienced what i refer to as "spiritual bankruptcy" Now that i have found a way to honor my higher power, some refer to as God , for lack of a better word, and develop spiritually and in faith...the void seems to fade away...
I believe that everyone has the Divine within them, they only need seek it out and honor it in a way that is right for them. Only then can they feel fulfilled.
Blessed Be

I think this is an odd way of looking at it... not everyone feels empty without God. How do you explain a person who is content with their life, and Godless?
I personally feel unsatisfied at times, even with God in my life. How is that explained?
As a Christian, I don't like the "God Shaped Hole" explanation of things, because it is too easily refuted.
I do think that we were created to seek purpose and to try to explain our own existence, though.

Never. You have your beliefs, but they are now pointing in my direction. You have stepped over that line. I do not have a god hole and nothing needs to be fulfilled. To go along the line you have started - I believe that christians are lost and mentally deficient people who need some one or something else to tell them what to do. They cannot think for themselves. Which of us here is right. Not who you believe is right, but definably right. Simple - neither of us. It is strictly belief.

I think the void that you speak of is, the not knowing who i really am void. religeon created God to and gave God the responsibility or their unkonwn self. So they can worship God trusting that he'll keep them safe from harm. ( one fool makes many)

Yes... more like a void or emptiness. It is why we were created, and only God can make us whole. Most people have a hard time identifing it until He does fill it with His Spirit. It's just a general feeling that "something is missing" in their life...

Haha, that's an interesting way to put it. I agree with you, totally. You can just see it all over our world, people knowing it's there but not knowing how to be truly 'happy'. The question that's a little harder is, is what does it mean to actually fill this...
