some are even talking about how it should be o.k. to have the state interfere with a couples childbearing ability here in the United States. Not in China but, right here!! What do you think of that?

I clicked on the question, and left my answer.
You are completely correct, just that anybody in our culture could even consider interfering with anybody's right to bear children, and especially based on their religious beliefs, is one terrifying thought.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating. If we, as Christians, do not start fighting back, instead of cowering like whipped dogs whenever the ACLU snaps the whip, we WILL be facing this sort of legislation eventually.
If we will not stand up for our beliefs, and for our rights under our Constitution, we will lose those rights. It is not a matter of "if", Girls and Boys, but only a matter of "when". Will your kids have to hide in a bombed out basement to worship Christ? Will it be their kids? The way that person talks, it may be even sooner than that!!

Forced vasectomy and forced abortion are both deemed by the U.N. to be major human rights violations under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1949; both practices are highly illegal under international law. China should in my opinion be regarded as a pariah state; I would favor trade sanctions,if not a diplomatic withdrawal of recognition. But of course the so-called People's Republic is an atheist's darling - every atheist's idea of a model state - so it should come as no shock that American atheists support and endorse such subhuman practices. They also display their hypocrisy: their professed feminism goes right out the window when you bring up forced abortion in China.

The US government has been talking about that for the last 2 centuries. All politicians think you have no intelligence or the ability to make good decisions. Read your history. Comstock about 1900 decided that OB/GYN books were obscene and had them pulled off the library shelves of medical libraries and refused to allow doctors access to them. God did not allow that sort of obscenity.

OK, so your religious beliefs are against abortion, also against birth control, many religions have unrealistic ideas on abstinence, adoption rates are low since most adoptive parents want perfect children. What's left except for mandatory sterilization of couples or individuals? Wouldn't that solve the christian dilemma of sex?

It is funny how christians are so for the government control or dictating or taking away our reproductive rights under certain conditions but not all conditions.

If population is a real problem, we need a real solution. We are super antsy about our reproductive freedom, but if we can't control ourselves, we will destroy ourselves. Sorry, but it's not my fault. I'm an only child with no intention of reproducing. If you think religion is helpful at all, why not indoctrinate people to reproduce responsibly?

I seen is improper grammar. It would be 'I have seen' or 'I've seen'.

As far as that other question goes, it's pretty fxcking obvious that couples shouldn't have more children than they're able to afford and take care of, regardless of their religion. If they can't take care of their kids, then that's something that might lead to a need to deal things out with a social worker, or something that might require government aid through money or something like that.

very dramatic midge. the post said nothing about slaughter. you just assumed he was talking about abortion. i think that better sex education and standards for parenting should be put in place. how much more moral is it for a child to have to grow up with abusive or absent parents?
