I am doing what I can to help her spiritually, but she is completely despondant.
I am not giving up on her and I would ask anyone who would pray to pray for her and for strength for me to help her.
What can you tell me to help her bear grief, abuse, and trust issues?
I'm stumped. I've tried everything.
Thank you in advance :)
She is a sunshine when she is happy. I want that back again.

The only thing you can do is speak the truth. Talk to her from the scripture, because it never comes back void. If you speak to her from the truth, even if you don't see a change, a seed has been planted that will grow inside of her. The Lord has his perfect timing for all things.

hi, your a good friend to want to help, but ask yourself is saved by the blood of Jesus. every time you speak to her pray simple and with your whole heart.
Lord would you please help this person and her friend that they seek your abundance grace and mercy and that you Lord reveal your heart to them and by your mighty hand you would release all the hardness in their hearts so they may see the light that shines so brightly from you Lord have your way let your will be done AMEN!!!!!!
grief is something that she has to let go she needs one really good cry and yell scream what ever it takes and be honest with the Lord, she needs to Jesus. abuse is a hard thing because a lot of feelings come with it. her first step to trust is Jesus Christ he is the greatest man on the face of heaven and earth. don't fear Jesus is in control he will take care of every thing. she will shine once again never take a prayer to the Lord with out faith that his(GOD'S) will be.
God Bless You!!! Jesus loves you always.

i am not sure what form of abuse you mention, that would possibly help. irregardless you have with your question ignited the prayers of numerous faithful for you and your friend. when i feel down music oft times help, aslong as it is appropiate, lately i have been listening to the music of karl kohlhase, he is an ex protestant turned catholic, how he found his journey home can be found on www.ewtn.com, google his name to find his site)i don't have it handy sorry). he offers 5 cds for free downloads, donations appreciated in his ministry but not an obligation. i offered this as i think many catholics/christians will enjoy his music. to help her more you may find the lifes of the saints beneficial, you will know verses of scripture that could help, importantly you being there, going for walks and showing her the good in life. for this there is no easy answer but your trust and faith in god with our prayers will help. as additional if you are able to show her that there is always someone worse off than us might help, it depends on your friend and how they deal with things, i will check in on this question to see if you add anything else if i am able to help further i will try, god bless.

I will pray and do pray in Jesus' Name, that whatever is troubling her heart and attacking her joy is cast into outer darkness. I ask Our Heavenly Father to make a shield around her and protect her by His Holy Spirit in Jesus' Name, Amen!

I would tell her to focus on the good things in life that happen everyday. Relying on religion or prayer doesn't usually work.
