I have had similar experiences. I think if what we ask for is good for us God will see that we get it in answer to prayer.
I have prayed for things and not gotten them. I trust that they really would not be good for me right now. Kinda like Garth Brooks' song "Unanswered Prayers"

May God Bless and keep you.

Ok well you just creeped me out. Not cause I prayed for anything but the other happened.
So I am at Big Lots one day and this lady comes up to me with $50 bucks and says "this is yours"
I actually argue with her and say "no I didnt lose any money"
She says "yes but I was told to give it to you"
"Told by whom?" I ask.
"God told me to give you this" she tells me.
Well at this point I dont want to argue with her because I know some people really feel this. So I take the money.
The thing is I am agnostic so generally I dont pray. The second thing is I didnt even need 50 bucks so I am standing there thinking "WTF...why me"

So I contemplated who I would give the money to. I have family members who always need money but that didnt feel right.

After I left Big Lots I go to Sonic to get some sodas.
The lady comes out and I pay for the sodas but then I stop.
I pull the 50 out of my pocket and hand it to her. This is what I tell her.
"Some lady gave me this 50 bucks over there at Big Lots. She says God told her to give to me. The thing is I dont need 50 bucks so either this is a mistake or some sort of test. I think if there is a God he/she is testing me. So I am giving it to you. If you need it great, if not pass it on to someone else"

I look at the lady and she is bawling. Scared that I freaked her out I ask if she is ok. She barely stops crying long enough to tell me she prayed that morning that something would come through to pay a bill or something. What she needed was fifty bucks.
Anyway that was one of the greatest feelings I ever had. I felt as if things happened that day for a reason. It was also cool because my kids were with me and we all shared in what seemed to be a miracle of some sorts.

Still to this day I am agnostic. Things like that keep me agnostic because if it were just the bible I had to have faith in I would be an absolute atheist.

Sorry this is so long!!

So you're saying God is like Santa now. He'll give you whatever you want? Man you must be special. I wonder why when that mother was praying that her son wouldn't be kidnapped, raped, and murdered God didn't help her. Or when thousands of starving children every day pray for food, where is God then. I guess he's too busy helping you find your keys and giving you money. You are an unbelievably selfish person

....
Are you really that ignorant?
So wait, what about all of those people who are starving and dieing for no reason?
You know, I saw a 13 year old kid get his head taken off from 2 clicks away, he was a Child Soldier in Sudan.
I've seen groups of people pray for an end to the rebellions over there, sometimes in groups of 50's or even hundreds.
Most are probably dead, or missing limbs.
Your ignorance is truly appalling.
Is that God's will?
You have no idea what goes on outside you're life.
Heh, you otta see Angola, or Sudan.
Then ask me if God exists.
Or answers prayers.
How diluted can one person get.

This week, I prayed for God to give me a sign of peace. I have been going through a very rough time. I wanted to have peace about the situation. I knew that it couldn't be helped immediately but in the meantime, I needed peace. I was sitting in my apartment in tears wanting peace. A moment later there was a knock on my door. There were two people from a local church that were coming to the complex to spread the word of God. I had tears in my eyes and I told them that I had accepted Christ. They asked me what church I went to and we began to talk. They asked me if I was okay because I looked upset. I told them what was going on beause I instantly trusted them. They asked if they could pray over me, and I accpeted. They prayed for one thing more than anything else--peace. God answers prayers.

Consider this: If there were a God and if this God did NOT want a certain thing to happen, then all the praying in the world would NOT change His mind. We would not be able to change the mind of a God. Therefore praying in that case would be pointless and a waste of time.

If there were a God and this God DID want a certain thing to happen, then we wouldn't NEED to pray for it to happen because He would have already decided it was going to happen. Therefore praying in THAT case would be pointless and a waste of time.

Are you getting the picture finally?

No, but I did walk up to a homeless man and told him that I saved my lefovers for him and proceeded to give it to him....I think it answered his prayers in that particular moment.

We can all be the angels for others and others angels for us if we look hard enough.

I know a guy that told a girl that God told him to give her herpes.

He was a Jerk, obviously but just because someone hears voices doesn't prove existence.
