Many things in life are especial because they are imperfect. Is perfection really a goal?

Shouldn't we have a holiday - just one day - where we all agree to only ask and answer in respectful ways? No calling the other people dumb. Challenging questions would be perfectly welcome, but no "Why are Christians/Atheists such retards?" types of questions.

When should be the Official R&S No Name-Calling Day?

It could be the sanctuary of your parish church. It could be a place you visited once on vacation but you feel you must get back and experience that awe again. It could be a place of solitude. It could be you favorite easy chair.

Regardless of belief, where is a place that refreshes your mind and your heart?

For me, there is a park in Boston called the Arboretum. 265 acres beautifully landscaped with exotic plants and trees from all over the world. It's city property but maintained by Harvard. It is so beutiful because one minute your in the city, the next your lost in the woods. You can be in utter silence or you can see the most beautiful view of Boston's skyline. I can go there for hours and read and think, and it is always a re-energizing exercise.

Feel free to be specific as you want.

If you are not a believer in Christ Jesus, how do you keep them from harming you? Christians are protected by the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

God orders the rape of innocent virgin girls
Has innocent babies bashed to pieces before their parent's
Drowns billions of people in the world
Death and hell to all that do not follow his orders
God directly says also how to treat slaves and if they defy their master to put them to death
God approves of incest several times even after he order us to stop incest.
These are all true from the bible

There are thousands of religions still being practiced in this world, and others being created every day. Then we must consider those who have outgrown religious dogma, such as atheists. Why do these brainwashed, wagon jumpers think anyone wants to hear their brand of mythology? Do they not understand that many of us have already learned their dogma, studied the concepts, and dismissed it as useless fables?

"Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can, but does not want to. If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked. If God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world?"

Okay I'm Catholic and I had my first communion not long ago and I will be having my confirmation this sunday and I need to know how often to confess because I don't want to take in the body of Christ if I have sins that need to be needed to confess first.
How do I know what sins are bad enough for confession again or how often to confess?

Why is there no mention of Koala Bears, Kangaroos, Polar Bears, Bison or Penguins in the Bible or other Jewish literature.

I mean, with Adam naming all of them, and Noah saving all of them, obviously the Hebrews must have KNOWN about them.

why weren't all humans on earth at that time his "special, chosen people."
why were they just floundering around with false religions in which, for all they could figure, the sun was god? Or the Moon? or that each one of those kinds of things were gods?

In the bible, many times it talks about how god gave jews victory in battle, slaying their territorial neighbors. Because all those people were all sinfull and deserved it? Hard to believe. But then again, every single citizen in the two CITIES of sodom and gommorah was so evil that they deserved death, so maybe it is possible. (sarcasm)

God had never shone upon those people his existance or goodness or truth, leaving them as primitive people completely without god's guidance, left to worship whatever their town leaders told them to, and yet he has his special people have great victories over these other people, killing hundreds of men in battle. that does not make sense.

For a small fee, you can be cryogenically frozen before you die so you can be brought back when medical science is advanced enough (Walt Disney had it done and is in a freezer in the basement below the Pirates of the Carribean display). If you had this done and it worked, what would happen to your soul while you were frozen?
