Andrew says:-"the bible is the only account/story/history/myth/ what ever you want to call it, that suggest there is one god"

Our dearest Andrew does not know Bible was written just about 1600-2000 years before only.
But God has "Revealed"(Dharsanam) 6000 years before to hindu saints that GOD is only One _"Eka Eva Brahmam Satyam"

Does that automatically make them Christians? Is it enough to say you're a Christian to also be one?

If I tell people I am royalty of royal blood line is it enough for someone to believe me even if its not true?

Let's focus on God of the Old Testament for this discussion, okay?

Diagnostic criteria:
At least five of the following are necessary for a diagnosis (as with many DSM diagnoses, they must form a pervasive pattern; for example, a person who shows these criteria only in one or two relationships or situations would not properly be diagnosed with NPD):
1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance
2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
3. believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by other special people
4. requires excessive admiration
5. strong sense of entitlement
6. takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
7. lacks empathy
8. is often envious or believes others are envious of him or her
9. arrogant affect.

If Christian, please name your denomination or general theology (evangelical, liberal, fundamentalist, dominionist, etc.). If other than Christian, please indicate if you are more liberal or conservative in your theology and social thinking.

I'm wondering if those who adhere to a particular belief system also tend to get their news from similar sources.

I understand the idea that we do not have any reason at all to believe in God, but of course I say that we don't have any reason to not believe in God. Please note that I'm abandoning the Western sense of God. Feel free to interpret this as "divine force" of any kind.

Furthermore, I see people asking agnostics if they withhold judgments from everything about which they are uncertain. This isn't quite fair because it's comparing the material world to the "spiritual" world. It's possible that everything around us is an illusion, but at least we perceive it and make conclusions based on it. There is no such perception of God to my knowledge.

It also seems to me that people who claim to be atheists are actually agnostic... why abandon the latter title for the former? True atheists do exist, just as true theists exist.

Really, the purpose of this question is to find out if I'm missing some big reasons why atheists deny the possibility of any divine force.

I see a lot of Christians say that Christianity speaks of love. I see a lot of non-Christians disagreeing with that. I see a lot of Christians failing to understand why "the Christian religion is disliked so much if it only speaks of love". I see a lot of non-Christians simply not seeing the Love of Christians.

If a message is meant to be loving, but that message doesn't come across as loving, who should change? The messenger or the reciever?

Should the messenger use better words for his message, to make sure it's understood as he meant it? Or should the receiver try to find the love in a message he finds hateful ?

If they do, do they exercise 'less' faith than theists? Is that good or bad? Why or why not?

In my opinion, in both camps trusting reason is a 'step of faith' in the sense that no one can prove the universe is 'rational' or 'reasonable', or that God does or doesn't exist.

Any help thinking through this appreciated.

Based on my questions to Muslims, Atheists, Agnostics, Pagans, Jews and Wiccans, the most common answer was that _____ felt most persecution coming from Christians. Yet several of the Christians claimed they were the most persecuted religion by other religions and non believers. Who else thinks these findings are not all that surprising? Who else thinks Jesus is very sad about those who claim to follow his teachings?

I am a stay at home mom.
I go to school full time.
I take my daughter to ballet.
I help the poor and hungry when I can. I donate to St Jude or other children's hospitals when I can
I go to church on Sundays with my daughter.
I am always there for my friends.

I am a Pagan. Does that negate every thing I do to a Christian? Do you not see people like me as people? Or are we all evil.

I'v noticed true christians are not the ones that go to church every Sunday or read the bible everyday. They are the ones with heart. The church is so stuck up and selfish. If you smoke, I cant hang out with you. If your not a christian I cant be with you. This is reality. If you could give up most of your blessings for love, would you do it? The church is so corrupt. I am christian.
