I am a stay at home mom.
I go to school full time.
I take my daughter to ballet.
I help the poor and hungry when I can. I donate to St Jude or other children's hospitals when I can
I go to church on Sundays with my daughter.
I am always there for my friends.
I am a Pagan. Does that negate every thing I do to a Christian? Do you not see people like me as people? Or are we all evil.

Of course it doesn't make you a bad person. Only people who are looking for something to nitpick would find fault with you; and who has time for them, anyway?

I've been to a Unitarian Universalist church before, it seems like a good thing. There are literally people who attend these churches who have been shunned or rejected from their "mainstream" churches because of some aspect of who they are. If they happen to be homosexual, for example, they might be shunned by their former Catholic church. If they happen to have committed some arguably heinous act, their Jehvovah's Witness congregation may've shunned them.
In my experience the people at UU churches whom I've known have been kind, good, considerate people who at the same time are pretty open-minded and seem to just want to live a good life, help others, and generally be good people. Nothing at all wrong with that.
So long as you don't try to shove your beliefs down my throat, you're good in my book. Religion I thought was supposed to be a personal choice, and as a result should be respected. In the same way you (hopefully) wouldn't punch someone in the face because they dress differently, you shouldn't shove your own religious beliefs in their face because you don't share their belief or because you think something is "wrong" with them.

You are not a bad person, but then again I don't know you, so technically I can't really "judge" you, but from what you wrote that makes you a good person.
I loev stay at home moms, we rock!
I am very interested in the UU church, I am an ex-mormon, and this church has caught my eye, however I am trying not to be on the re-bound and trying to take some "spiritual" time.
Why would you think you are a bad person?

Looks to me as if you are a very nice and caring person, i think that your daughter is lucky to have a good mother, and in my heart i do not doubt for a second that you have a place in heaven, even though im Atheist, i respect that you believe in god, and i can assure you that if there is a god, he will accept a person like you with open arms, and if there isnt a god, then be happy that when you die, you will leave behind a greatly brought up child how learning from your example, can only be good for our society, be proud, and do not think for a second that because you are not christian that your going to hell.

what does being a pagan have to dO with being a good person? why do you say does this make you a bad person. then you list all the good you do. being a bad person is a person that only thinks his or her need are the important ones and that every one better get out of the way or get hurt. a bad person can be of any religion faith or culture. it what you do that makes you good or bad if you want to put it that way. it what is in your heart and sole. so what is yours like? doing is good but what are you saying when you are doing? what is your daughter hearing good or bad? you have to be the judge of that. as for the evil part i think we are all selfish and in part evil with a bit of angel and saint all mixed up and coming out of us as we move just what out were you step..LOL

Honestly, I hope you really pay attention to what I say. You are not a bad person. As long as you continue to do the next right thing...which is what it sounds like you do, it does not matter what anyone thinks of you, or what you believe in. At least you give your family the "choice" to find their own belief system. Do not be so hard on yourself...keep doing what your doing!

It doesn't negate anything that you do - but it somewhat changes the "purpose" of the "Christian behavior" - you're up against a lot of people who simply don't understand paganism, and aren't interested in learning.
You're not a bad person. You just believe some things that many Christians don't understand or agree with.

I don't think you are a bad person. You sound like you care about your daughter a great deal, but you sound a little misguided which may effect your daughter in a negative way in the long run, but what the hell do I know?

Oh Jill, I'm so sorry that there are people who'd say being Pagan makes you a bad person.
Good for you going to school, by the way! It's hard as a SAHM to go to school.
I did 2 degrees as a SAHM.
