I'v noticed true christians are not the ones that go to church every Sunday or read the bible everyday. They are the ones with heart. The church is so stuck up and selfish. If you smoke, I cant hang out with you. If your not a christian I cant be with you. This is reality. If you could give up most of your blessings for love, would you do it? The church is so corrupt. I am christian.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, i have seen those so called true christians, deny and shun fellow christians because their sexual orientation or "jobs", as a atheist i feel quite disappointed, as an ex catholic it actually makes me sad and a little bit sick.

I does seem that way, it seems that the older the world gets the worse it becomes, even some churches.
Don't judge the ones in church, the people you know that are like that. I'd say pray for them. And if you're uncomfortable about the church see if you can find a new one. If you live near Christainsburg, VA then you should check out this church that I go to called Life Community Church. It has a wonderful pastor and many strong believers.
All I say is that you don't fall, you keep standing strong in God's word and you spend every moment focusing on him. Just pray for your church. Ok!? And ask God for wisdom, he'll understand!!!!!

There are so many different churches out there. Some are awful, and some are a spiritual home that can enhance your life fully. Try the Episcopal Church, go in with an open mind, and give it a good month to get used to it and the people. The Episcopal Church is very open minded.

I wouldn't say I'm religious, but I have a good understanding of the bible's stance on morality and ethics generally.

God was, is and always will be love. If the church you attend doesn't understand this, they are not being true to the religion they preach. You have a choice to vote with your feet and find somewhere that is more accepting and understanding of the failings of humanity.

Only one man had no faults and He was crucified for our sins.

the church is so corrupt and it is in it for the money.
that is what these big religous organizations is all about.
They do very little good with that money if anything at all except make themselves rich.
It is like buying an insurance policy that doesn't pay off.
All it does is make you feel like you got it covered.
But when you need it? It isn't going to be there.

You may wish to search for a friendlier church. Mine is so wonderful... there are support groups for various types of people, like those with past/current addiction issues and "blended families" (read: The Brady Bunch). On our church's sign, it says, "A friendly Bible-based church", and it is.

God is not in the church. The Lord lives in YOU. I will never sacrifice the Lord for man. The Lord is the ultimate love and through him I will find all my happiness in this world. The Lord knew that the world would be filled with unhappiness. That was why He left His Spirit and His doctrine in this world. With Him, you will always find peace.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid - John 14:27

'With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." - Mark 10:27

Even Revelations hints that there are Good and evil Christians. There are churches who serve Satan and can't even see their own sins. You are blessed to recognize this. Keep it up. We are followers of Jesus and the living word and as long as we follow him no one and no church will lead us to hell. WAY TO GO child of the son!

Not assembling with the church is a sign of apostacy (falling away from God) and failure to read your Bible will leave you very immature spiritually. But those who read their Bibles and go to church should also love one anothr as Christ did us.

I'm a Christian myself and I see this problem all the time...ministers giving leeway to women who wear bracelets or something when they are to dress modestly...I wouldn't give up my blessings for the love of anyone except the Lord Jesus Christ!
