There are thousands of religions still being practiced in this world, and others being created every day. Then we must consider those who have outgrown religious dogma, such as atheists. Why do these brainwashed, wagon jumpers think anyone wants to hear their brand of mythology? Do they not understand that many of us have already learned their dogma, studied the concepts, and dismissed it as useless fables?

John 1:1 you are exactly the kind of sheeple I'm talking about. Noone from any other religion has behaved in the manner and your fellows do. To those good people in the Christian community who show real thought and consideration for the views of others, I'm very sorry that you are occasionally grouped with morons like this one.

I don't know. It is annoying to hear them say that only their god is 'real' and that everyone must live by their rules or burn.

I personally don't care what they consider to be sin as long as they stay out of the lawmaking business.

Ok, I just double checked and this is the Religion and Spirituality section of YA. The Mythology and Folklore section is just above here in the index.

My point is why are you posting here if you are so elevated and enlightened? Why would you want to converse with those who have not reached your level of conscientious? Would you not expect people to be talking about sin in a section called Religion and Spirituality?

If you don’t want to hear about it, don’t come in here. You will not be missed, I promise you.

What makes you think I care what you believe? You must have an inflated concept of self. Nobody cares. Get a life. Develop some interests. Be productive. SHUT UP!!

Well, what do you consider sin? What makes something wrong? Law? If so where do we derive our laws from? Why do we deem that something should be against the law? Do we make it up? The definition of sin, no matter what you call it, is at the core of every philisophical, political, religious debate. If we are to seek the truth we must consider what sin is.

Direct answer to your question: NO. But your opinion nor my opinion does anything to change right and wrong, and God defines sin, not you or me.
I'm sorry all you know is religious dogma, mythological concepts, and useless fables. The world is full of useless information, and it appears your scatter brained question is devoid of conscience.
If you're really looking for something more than stupid answers to laugh at, I will tell you how to find God and have a personal relationship with him:
1) Jeremiah 29:13 Ye shall seek me, and find me, when you seek me WITH ALL YOUR HEART. If you're not looking with all your heart, all you're going to find is religious dogma and useless fables. God is not dogma or fables.
2) REPENT for the kingdom of God is at hand. Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. Forgot you don't care what I consider sin. OK, GOD says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God."
Despite how intelligent, enlightened, or superior you think you are, you're included when God says "all". The only thing you have to do is nothing. You are a hellbound sinner, and your own personal definition or opinion doesn't change anything. Do as you please, and you're going to Hell. Period.
3) Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." You and I deserve death, but God loves us so much, he sent his son to die in our place.
4) John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever should believe in Him, should not perish, but have eternal life."
God, in his infinite love, has paid the price of sin for us, if we only believe in Him and accept His salvation.
5) Romans 10:9,10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore choose life, that you may live.
Your choice. I pray you find Jesus.

Dude... you just sinned 8 times in the question you just asked, according to a religion I just made up...

you shall surely spend eternity in the "Hell of overly self-righteous people criticizing your actions based on their religion of choice"... according to the religion I just made up...

Actually some of them believe what they "preach" and some are simply doing it from THEIR version of altruism. As long as it's not causing harm or suffering, outside of ego-clinging, then just let it go.

Christianity has not been tried and found wanting, it may have been found hard and left untried.
