You church people that are praising Jesus only on Sunday, shouldn't you be praising him every day, day and night, maybe til you're blue in the face?

I suspect Jesus is not amused when your praise lapses, and you get involved too much in other stuff. What about it people?

Jesus wants to hear praise all the time, and he wants to hear it live, not just recordings of it. Come on, people, can't you start praising him every day, all day, where ever you go; you know that is really what will make him happy...

The question of:Who/what came before?

Science has the problem&flawed belief that their must always of been something that came prior;resulting in the conumdrum of there always being infinite questions&an infinite lack of answers.Example:What created the universe?,proposed scientific answer:The BigBang, well what caused the big bang?,scientic theory:M-theory,well wat created those membranes/universes?,And what created that?&what caused that?,And so on and so on and so on....

Agree or disagree? And why or why not?The only thing that will ultimately satisfy and put an end to this question is the Almighty,omni-present,omnicient&and all powerful, loving, infinite&eternal God?

If there were no God, and everything was a result of random chance, there would be no purpose to your life. It all starts with God.

The search for the purpose of life has puzzled people for thousands of years. That's because we typically begin at the wrong starting point.-ourselves. But focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose.

You did not create yourself, so there is no way you can tell yourself what you were created for! If I handed you an invention you had never seen before, you would not know its purpose, and the invention itself would not be able to tell you either. Only the creator or the owner's manual could reveal its purpose.
So it is with us, God's Word the Bible has the answers to these questions, because we were created by God.

I have noticed that there seems to be a lot of confusion as to what Jehovah's Witnesses really believe as well as rumors and pretty nasty lies regarding what they seemingly believe, so I figured I would clear it up. Here is their OFFICIAL website that explains with direct accuracy, coming straight from the members, what their beliefs entail. So now, there won't be as many of those rumors and lies, right?

I better not give my hopes up too much; people LOOOOVE to gossip.

Anyway, here is the website: www.watchtower.org

Hope you all had a good laugh at my expense. This question is specifically directed at "goinghomesoon". I do not believe in jewish, christian or muslim philosophies but if I see or meet an angel I'll definitely change my mind. Since I do not have any contact with your god and you obviously do, please relay this message. I am ready and willing to accept your god as the alpha and omega. I will believe whatever it is that you believe. Please let me see that angel? This is a sincere message!

Where in the Bible can i read of the Pope? Where in the Bible does it say that he will serve as a king with Jesus?

So often, christians will give answers that include declarations that atheists are obviously here because we're trying to find god.

But I wonder if maybe the opposite is the case.

I know that I'm most certainly not looking for god.

I gave up imaginary friends at around 7 or 8.

But could it be that the atheists are what draws the christians to this site, and that they aspire to be atheists too, but they're trying to find the road that leads there?

After all, there is no doubt in your minds that I will burn for not being Christian.

And despite the lack of any scripture to support you, you all seem to believe your god will keep my son in heaven.

(and yes, I've read the quotes given to previous questions, none of those quotes say that a non-christian child goes to heaven).

So not only do you disrespect my beliefs about what happens to my son and I, but you tell me I must convert to Christianity if I am to ever hope to see my son again.

Does this sound better to you than telling me your god will burn both my son and I?

I know very little about it and don't really care to know much beyond the basics, but it seems logical that if there is a devil, then there must also be a God. Is it then that satanists believe their "guy" is the one who'll win the final battle?

Evolution does not prove that there is no god. God works in mysterious ways, and science has proven that evolution is one of the ways in which he works. We already know that animals change over extended periods of time to become better suited for survival in their environment. This is true. But believing in evolution does not make you an atheist!

By the way, if you are a bible-thumper, this next part is for you. Did you ever notice that in Genesis, there are two stories of creation that conflict with each other? Look in your bible some time. It's impossible to believe both of those stories, because they contradict each other. Therefore, it's impossible to believe everything that's written in the bible.

This isn't their room, but yet they come here like lost souls reaching out for the light in their own way.
I can see the spark of divinity in these people, and I know why they are here.

So there are a few questions on Yahoo that people have posted about us becoming Gods. It kinda makes sense to me... Puppies become Dogs, Kittens become Cats... Children of God become Gods? But I haven't read anywhere in the Bible where it says one way or the other. When people have responded in the past they have said stuff like, "because the Bible says so." Does anybody have any scripture references that say one way or the other?

Please only answer if you have a scripture reference, post the scripture, and explain its meaning.

Oh and no non-bible references (Book of Mormon, Quron, etc.). Just the Old Testament and New Testament. Thanks

the stories of the Akkadians and others. Much of the Akkadian works are in writing so it can be easily compared. If their works are considered fables and mythes, how can the Old Testament be considered the word of God? After all, the Jews and their writing of this book came along many years after the Sumerians, the Akkadians and others.

If animals behave altruistically and selfishly, how can we know they act on instincts alone while we have free will?

about the universe, Christians (through revelation) or science (through discovery)?

I personally contend that science is EXTREMELY important in terms of understanding and bettering life for ALL people, but that it will never have all the answers, as every discovery prompts numerous new questions. Therefore, religion has just the same chance of answering the Qs about where we came from (in terms of the beginning of the universe, considering there was probably something even before the BB).

So what do y'all say, especially those who swear science is the end all of creation?

(And please, no trite answers about the Big Bang or inaccuracies in the Bible. If that happens to be your conditioned response, consider what the universe was prior to the BB, and I contend the Bible is a legendary story written by fallible humans about some really extraordinary events, but not to be taken 100% literally)
