Anyone that's wondering if there are closet atheists in America today... just take a look at how many people are actually in church on any given Sunday. Even excluding people of other faiths, just look at what a small minority of people in this country actually do attend church on Sundays.

Of course, there are people who will call themselves Christians, but haven't been to church in years. In fact, I would say they probably represent the majority of the "Christians" listed on census reports.

If what I'm suggesting is true, I think it may be more likely that non-believers are not actually the minority in this country. They just aren't very vocal about it...

and place it in his mouth to always remind the child that the Word of the Lord tastes sweet?
I think this is one of the loveliest traditions there are. How about you?

1. If spirits aren't made of flesh, how could they burn?

2. If there's fire in hell, that would make it a planet because the gases to create fire is of the physical world

3. If it's not fire as we know it, what exactly is it? You dont know, do you?

4. We feel pain because of nerve cells. Nerve cells are made of flesh. Spirits aren't made of flesh so, they wouldn't feel pain

5. If it's some kind of unknown spirit pain, what exactly is it? You dont know, do you?

6. How would a spirit get to hell? You dont know, do you?

Do Christians think?

HELL DOESN'T EXIST

My theories are, A) Tabula Rasa and the Empty Cabinet Theory .That your parents/guardians/someone you looked up to as a child, made you that way. B) You are afraid to go angainst the norm of society for whatever reason. Fear of rejection, death, etc. etc. C) You just are too stupid to know any better and your a sheep. I know religous people are very good at using propaganda.
And I am not an athiest I do believe in a higher power, but not religion. Spiritual but not religious.

The Bible says the Earth is between 6,000 and 8,000 years old, that it was created in 7 days, and that Man is made of dirt and Woman a piece of Man. Most churches today say that this is allegory.

What passages of the Bible support it all being just allegory?

One of the greatest of the women of the Tuatha de Danaan, she was a woman of poetry, healing, and smith's work. Her name came from Breo-saighit, meaning a fiery arrow. She was daughter of the Dagda and, by Bres, mother of Ruadan.

Why, or why not? Why are there so few women priests (or at least, why do I have that idea)? Are there female bishops or cardinals? Of all denominations? Would/could a woman ever become pope?

I would appreciate it if you could state your denomination with the answer.

The first is the Mormons prophet, Hinkley seen at http://library.lds.org/nxt/gateway.dll/Magazines/Ensign/2006.htm/ensign%20november%202006.htm/the%20faith%20to%20move%20mountains.htm?f=templates$fn=default.htm$3.0

And the other prophet to compare is seen on http://www.kimclement.com .

Also, in discerning, realize there is only One Spirit & One Lord & One God, so the Spirit wouldn't be divided concerning the things of the Lord.

(note: i'm actually an agnostic with an Adventist background)

In annihilationism, you either get eternal life or cease to exist. So JWs and and SDAs aren't asking for much since you can basically take your life away at will (both physically and spiritually).

We could ask the christians what they were doing there because they WOULD come.
We could ask questions about the atheists wager.
We could continually ask why you don't believe in a god.
The drinking game would be a permanent fixture.
Which other "questions" do you think might be asked?

Notice...most of their questions are directed about God.
"Why does you God? Does Jesus love you? If Jesus really loves you? If God is omnipotent?..."

I mean it's like asking "does Harry Potter love you?" or "how did Snow White rise from the dead?" Well ask the author!
It's amazing the amount of effort they put, trying to search the Bible for flaws and contradictions. Why don't you guys put that effort into something more useful, like science? I thought Atheists like to take use of their time, and don't spend much time analyzing fictions, or am I wrong?

The Count:-
"True Salvation is all about a Person, Jesus Christ, who is God's Son, who came to die on a cross for YOUR sins & mine."It may be true to one-Reciting Raama may be effective to somebody else. But when you recite Raama you implicitly ask for your OWN welfare--in sanskrit:-Ma= for me(Us) ----Raa=the one who bestows the best of all on me(Us)--Sa=He is Raama--the choice is yours!! -so you can not say reciting Raamaa is fruitless.

The New Testament is a book compiled from 34 gospels which were all written by men as historical accounts of the life of Jesus. They are not revelation and the Absolute word of God.

Highly intelligent scholars admit their uncertainties concerning whether certain letters labeled "Paul, Peter and Jude" are authentic; and uncertain about who wrote the Gospels, and how they are related (i.e., literary redaction hypotheses); and also uncertain about what the historical Jesus, said, did, or believed about himself and his mission?

Even James D. G. Dunn and N. T. Wright admit various uncertainties.

WELL I HONESTLY BELIEVE NO 1 KNOWS WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN, BUT I KEEP HAVING THESE DREAMS AND VISIONS OF THE WORLD ENDING THIS FALL, OCTOBER OR NOVEMBER. I THINK THAT WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT REVELATIONS IN THE BIBLE WE ARE LIVING IN THESE TIMES. GREED, SELFISHNESS....ECT. THE WAR....IT SAYS THAT THE LAST DAYS WILL BE WHEN THE GOVERNMENT SAYS NO MORE RELIGION, NO MORE PREACHING, AND REMOVE THE WORD GOD FROM MONEY. WELL I JUST HEARD THAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE REMOVING THE WORDS "IN GOD WE TRUST" FROM ALL MONEY VERY SOON, AND A WOMAN WAS REPRIMANDED FROM USING THE WORD GOD IN A SPEECH AT HER COLLEGE GRADUATION LAST WEEK. SHE WAS TELLING EVERYONE IN HER SPEECH ABOUT THANKING GOD FOR HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS ECT. DO YOU THINK WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS???!!!!

If Adam didn't sin, he'd be "perfect". If he didn't eat the fruit, we'd be living in a world of Robots.

How do we show all different emotions in a "Perfect world"?
