Wow Am I going to burn because I think that body is HOT!

1. All bodies will be resurrected, both those going to heaven and to hell.
2. There is a theory that hell is located in the center of the earth, but whereever it is, do you think it is impossible for God to have a planet created specifically for hell?
3. The Bible says it is fire and brimstone.
4. As I said, all bodies will be resurrected. Also, they will be made "new" and will be united with their soul/spirit. Whole and complete once again.
5. It isn't an unknown "spirit pain". It is physical and emotional torment. After death, everyone will know the truth of God, and the knowledge will be unbearable for those who rejected Jesus. They will remember every occasion they heard the truth and rejected it.
6. God will send people to hell, spirit/soul/body. Though He is only doing what each person has chosen for themselves.

Oh yes, Christians think. And study..and meditate...and pray.

HELL DEFINITELY EXISTS

2007-06-06 07:24:10 · answer #2 · answered by beano™ 6 · 1 0

I'm a Christian and I don't believe in hell. I'm assuming you are an Atheist. But even so I'd like to show you why hell doesn't exist.

In some Bible translations the original Hebrew and Greek words have remained untranslated. Words such as She'ohl, hai'des, and ge'en-na. She'ohl and hai'des refer to the common grave of dead mankind. And Ge'en-na is a symbol of eternal destruction.

Speaking of Ge'en-na, in the Christian Greek Scriptures five times it is associated with fire. Ge'en-nan tou py-ros' has been translated as hell fire in the King James Version.

Well you'll have to do your own research to verify what I'm saying, but Gehenna was The Valley of Hinnom outside the walls of Jeruselem in the 1st century. It was used to burn the garbage. So basically it was a garbage dump. Dead animials and executed criminals were thrown into Gehenna.
Matthew 5:29, 30 speaks of casting one's whole body into Gehenna. That's because when the whole body fell into the fire it was consumed, but if only part fell in then it was infested with worms and maggots. As you've probably guessed, living people were not thrown into Gehenna, so it wasn't a place where they were tortured and tormented.

And besides that - Romans 6:23 says the wages sin pays is death. We all sin. So we all die and what happens at death?

Well........ Ecclesiastes 9:10 says that "The living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all." So we'd be in a sleep-like state.

So I agree with you about there not being a hell, but I do believe in God.

1. True, our flesh will die, but our soul, which is inmaterial will live forever.

2. No one really knows where or how hell exists. God created all the starts, no one has even seen all of them.

3. I know what God tells me about hell. "Fire of Hell" Mt.18:9, "Everlasting Torment" Luke 16:23.

4. We will have our conscience though, so we will be aware and remorsefull.

5. Answer 3.

6. After someone dies as far as the sequence, is a little confusing. You will be judged. You will be shown every good and bad deed you've done and you will be noted on whether or not you called on God to be forgiven.

Do Christians think? Do you?

How do you know hell doesn't exist, have you checked it out?

Your questions are based upon your limited little finite scientific carnal mind. As if your mind can actually know all things seen and unseen. How dumb. And because people can't explain everything in a lab like science report, then those things cannot be true in some sense? And then you come to a conclusion that something does not exist because you cannot find concrete material answers, even though the cause and effect relationship, the therefore conclusions don't even match with the questions. How dumb.

Adventists would agree. I'm agnostic, so i agree too.

1. souls are not spirits, they are flesh (including animals)
2. Hell (hades/sheol) is the grave, gehhena is annihilation
3. It is real fire and those who are lost are annihilated
4. Souls are flesh
5. If souls were spirits, then they must be mortal ones
6. the spirit is as electric power and God is like the power plant. We are receivers of the power so that we can live. We are not spirits. When you die, the spirit returns to God.

Good questions! In the bible you'll find out that there are two resurrections - one of the just and one of the damned.

"Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." Rev 20:6

That's the first one.

"and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." Rev 20:13-16

That's the second one.

Since you will have an eternal body, you will burn, but never be consumed.

Hell is the the place where you wait until Judgment day. Its the place of outer darkness.

My dear friend,
I actually know the answers to each and every one of your above questions. But that's not really the issue with you, is it? You just don't want to believe that there is a hell, because you hate God, and the ones who follow Him. Christians. That's O.K. We'll love you anyway. But now it's my turn to ask you a question. How sure are you that there is no hell?? You better be more than sure, with evidence to back it up, and not just your own opinion. You know why? Because if you're even the slightest bit wrong, eternity is a LONG time to spend there.
I have the evidence and proof, that not only is there a hell, but those who continually reject Christ, and pick on His kids (Christians) will eventually wind up there. Proof positive. I don't think this, I KNOW IT!
My advice to you is to let go of your bitterness and hatred of a God who loves you, and calls you to Himself, and does not want you to go to hell, but if you really want to go there badly enough, He will let you.
You better be sure......

Hell is the complete absence of God's presence. The lake of fire and the second death may be symbols or they may be real, but God talks about them, so they must exist in one form or another. No ,I don't know for sure all the things U asked, but 1 thing I do know for sure. Jesus Christ died to pay the punishment for my wrongdoing, and I am going to Heaven. Not because I'm perferct, cos I'm not, but because Jesus is. No, I can't prove it, it is a matter of faith. Hope this helps
