Apparently, according to Genesis, there are other cities/peoples already in existance.

Eve had more than 3 sons.
"And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:" Genesis 5:4
Cain's wife would have been a relative, probably a distant one. We don't know the exact time span between Cain's birth and his finding a wife but we do know that people lived hundreds of years in the Old Testament.

Adam and Eve had many more sons and daughters after they had Seth their 3rd son
Genesis 5:4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
You can have a hundreds of children in 800 years! So the answer is obvious that Cain married a sister which was perfectly OK in those days. Who else could he marry?

The Bible does not say specifically. We can gather from later scriptures that after the birth of Seth, Adam and Eve had other children, both sons and daughters. "Extra-Biblical" sources go into further details about their life and children. These books (The Book of Adam and Eve etc.) were not included in the Bible because they were thought to be unneccessary to the overall point of the Bible. If you don't want to read these books, it is not going to affect your spiritual life all that much. I don't even read them. I know what they say, but I don't read them.

No one has come up with a convincing answer to that question in 4000 years.
Every answer I've ever read just tries to weasel around this problem.
It's embarrassing for religious people like myself who like nice, tidy answers, but we're stuck with it as a theological puzzle, like "If God is all-powerful, can He create a rock so heavy He can't lift it?" There's NO explanation or even a hint of an explanation for this "wives of the sons of Adam" in Genesis or anywhere else in the Bible.
Sometimes ya just gotta say, " Hmmm, I don't know!"

His sister..
The Talmud tells us that Cain and Able were both born with twin sisters, who married the other brother. The source is Rasgi - Genesis 4:1.

The Bible consists mostly of allegorical tales, ancient laws and rules, poetic verse, and some historical observation. The story of Adam and Eve obviously fits under the first of these categories.

The bible is not a complete historical document. There wasn't someone taking notes the whole time. It is a document about historical people and events that are pertinent to you building up faith in God and Christ. There are somethings that are just not recorded for us to know at this time.
But I agree that they must have had many children if they lived for so long.

The world had people in it before Adam & Eve. Thats why God tld them to re-plenish the earth.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it
Those other people lived outside the enclosed area called the garden of Eden. This why Cain was afraid if anyone found him, they would want to kill him.

There were cities of people in existance before Adem and Eve. ie the city of Nod. Adam and Eve were the first people created "in Gods image". This is the spiritual creation, not the physical creation.
