Would masturbating over the same sex be a double sin?
That is, the sin of homosexuality, and the sin of lust.

Thank you for your clarification.

how come man can't be devoted to God and still have a helpmate? Not trying to insult, just don't understand.

Does this mean that all the other clergy in the Christian religion are not devoted to God because they have family? God called them.

1- The Qu'ran is an untouchable book : After 1400 years, from the begining of Prophet Muhammad's, peace be upon him, message, the Qu'ran has not changed in any way, even as a matter of one charachter. Prooving this is very easy, since you can compare all the versions of the Qu'ran everywhere in the world and you will find them all the same. God ensured that this book would be saved from any changes attempted by human beings. God said in the Qur'an : " We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)"

2- The Qu'ran contains many scientific facts that have been discovered recently using computer systems and microscopes. Many scientists have attended conferences dealing with this subject and have themselves accepted Islam. These same scientists have said that it is not possible that Muhammad, peace be upon him, an illiterate man, who lived 1400 years ago, could have discovered such things on his own. God said in the Qur'an : "Soon will We show them Our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things" ( Quran 41:53 )
For more information about this topic please visit : http://www.it-is-truth.org

3- The Qu'ran, which is in Arabic, was revealed to the people of the Arabian Gulf who invented the Arabic language. Through Muhammad, peace be upon him, Allah challenged the people who claimed that a human wrote it to emulate such a book. No one from the time of the Prophet till now could write a book that contained the many scientific facts, miracles and similar effects on people that the Qu'ran did and still does today.

4- The Qu'ran had not one Arabic grammar mistake, which was recognized by the disbelievers at the time of the Prophet, who were the founders of the Arabic language.

These are a few examples of why Muslims believe in the Qur'an.

Here are some verses from God to Muslims encouraging them to invite the People of the Book ( Jews and Christians to Islam ):

God said : {Say: "O People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, when Allah is Himself witness to all ye do?} (Quran 3:98)

God tell Muslims to say : {..'We believe in that which had been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our God and your God is One, and unto Him we surrender} (Quran 29:46)

To anyone who does it or attends a church where it happens: From what I understand, the point is to put your lives in God's hands, as God will (hopefully) not let the serpent bite you. If this is true, wouldn't the same apply to throwing yourself off a cliff (God will keep you safe)?

I guess what I'm asking is, why put yourself in harm's way? If God wanted you harmed, I'm sure he'd find a better way to do it than wait for you to grab a snake.

PLEASE no disrespectful answers. I'm trying to learn here.

Many Christians & Jews don't know that Muslims believe in their prophets and holy books. Muslims believe that the Bible and the Torah were changed by people for their personal benefits. This is why God sent Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, not with a new religion, but to correct the people who had gone astray, those who were worshipping idols and being misguided by their forefathers.

Islam is the last message to the world and God wants the miracle of Islam to be witnessed by the people from Prophet Muhammad's, peace be upon him, time till the day of Judgment. The miracle is the Qu'ran, Muslims holy book.

Why did God feel the need to "test" the faith of Job and Abraham? Didn't he have enough faith in them? Isn't faith about believing not proving?
Please no extremely long answers or "God can do what he wants" answers or anything similar.
Thanks.

Remember when men used to not be afraid of leading?

Now that black basketball player says he won't be there for his kids birth and everyone is going crazy!

Remember when it used to matter about taking care of the kids and leading a good example?

Now it's about doing sick things and taking pictures of those things.

The 1960's is when it all turned around. Before then men would choose their girls to become women after 21 years old, and they would make them proper. The women would take charge of the house and spend time at the mall. Now she still takes her time at the mall, but doesn't do any housework and they eat everything in sight.

Men are lost because they prefer other tender men to make movies with while they watch. Women weren't meant to be our golf partners. They are meant to love us.

You see these shows on TV with these characters and it's just WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

It was almost like God was surprised that a man sinned, was that not his intention? Did he make a mistake or make us the wrong way? Is that possible for God? He gave us free will, he had to of known we would do god and bad???? He made us and is allowed to punish us even though we are HIS creation...... Its like making somehting and punishing it becasue its faulty, even though we made it the wrong way. I persoanlly don't think God wanted to make us perfect and I don't believe in sin the way most people would believe. I also don't believe in punishment, I just want answers rom the people who believe in adam and eve and in hell. ty

Would you agree to socialized medicine and better help for seniors? I ask this because as a Christian and a nurse,I feel called to respect our elderly.I see them daily going through the trash dumpsters of the grocery store next to my house looking for discarded food.I live in a small town. There are food banks but still most of their money goes for their medicines. Isn't this a sin to let them suffer? I know of many children with no medical care, do they deserve this?

When a Christian posts a question, many of the first "atheist and non believer" responders are cruel, rude, closed minded and intolerant.

I don't want to hear any more about you saying that Christians are closed minded and intolerant when YOU are the worst.

After reading some answers & questions today I feel very assured that I can, in all honesty, call MANY of you atheists and non believers HYPOCRITES. Practice what you preach.

I will be the FIRST person to admit -- sometimes, humanity sucks.

That said, I also believe we are capable of much, much more than what we have achieved throughout recorded history. We are the most severe underachievers of all time.

I often read comments from Christians that say things along the lines of, "We deserve God's wrath" or "We all should burn in hell", et al.

Is this not an incredibly pessimistic way to go through life? Do (for lack of a better word -- sorry) persecute yourself for a lifetime for something that may or may not pay off in the end? Beating yourself up every day cannot be good for the psyche.

I am getting my 3 month old son baptized on the 24th this month. My daughter will be 7 years old next month and very much wants to be a part of the ceremony and be baptized herself. I am having a hard time trying to explain something like this to my almost 7 year old in a way that she fully understands this commitment. Is there anyone out there that can help?
