about the universe, Christians (through revelation) or science (through discovery)?

I personally contend that science is EXTREMELY important in terms of understanding and bettering life for ALL people, but that it will never have all the answers, as every discovery prompts numerous new questions. Therefore, religion has just the same chance of answering the Qs about where we came from (in terms of the beginning of the universe, considering there was probably something even before the BB).

So what do y'all say, especially those who swear science is the end all of creation?

(And please, no trite answers about the Big Bang or inaccuracies in the Bible. If that happens to be your conditioned response, consider what the universe was prior to the BB, and I contend the Bible is a legendary story written by fallible humans about some really extraordinary events, but not to be taken 100% literally)

MY answer is no one will know in this plane of existence. Ever. Is there an afterlife? I think so. I also think it is another form of consciousness where we WILL "just know" all the answers.

The better question is: Who will learn more, the religious people (like Christians) who think they know absolute truth, or scientists who realize that we don't know truth and any truth we get comes through looking for it?

Religion discourages seeking, unless that seeking is limited to pouring over scriptures written by ancient superstitious people. Science discourages people from claiming knowledge unless there is something real to back it up, and even then being open to overturning what we presumed to be knowledge if new evidence contradicts it.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?
Which came first the answer or the question?
Why is a conscious being wandering around aimlessly on plant earth?
What is the reason for life?
Why must it all end in death?
Can an answer be found to these questions? Probably!

Will man be able to transcend the mind if a thing called the ego stands in the way so these questions can be answered.
Probably not!
The ego has an insatiable hunger for self preservation, and the answers to some of these questions might place it's credibility at risk. Oh the shame!

Man must understand himself before any of these questions can be answered. It's not a question of who will find the answers first, but who will come to understand himself and allow the answers to be given, freely.

Evolution is a created word. Thus, creation came before the concept of evolution. Creation and evolution are in process,
even as we speak, and functioning exactly as they were originally designed.

Neither Christians nor Science will answer such ominous questions.

There is an intangible item that has been placed within the heart of man and lays dormant, yet awaiting its ignition, and it is called "Wisdom". When "Wisdom" dawns in man the answers to all these ominous questions are at his disposal.
Such men of "Wisdom" have been around for thousands of years, and have shared their gift of "Wisdom". Man has listened but not heard from the vast well of "Wisdom"

Man should seek "Wisdom", and then man will be the one
that will have the answers first!

well, with a vague statement such as "and I contend the Bible is a legendary story written by fallible humans about some really extraordinary events, but not to be taken 100% literally)"you kind of set up a no win situation, dont you think?Allowing the bible to mean anything you want it to. Really though, science definitely will find the answers first. It's not even a arce. Religion thinks they already have the answers, they are no longer searching. Science constantly is,so it really is no contest

There are no mysteries to those who know truth and reality. Mysteries, theories, speculations, vain imaginations, perceptions, opinions, and beliefs are invented by those who do not know how, why, and when life came into existence.

Science’s never-ending determination to try to understand and explain reality, leads its followers in a constant race that will continue until One (Christ) who actually knows what reality is, appears to teach those who seek truth.

Religion is worse than science in its speculative efforts to satisfy the human ego. Religion has created the impetus for people to search how, why, and who they are without having the proper tools to help the people discover the truth for themselves. Religious leaders have convinced their followers that they (the leaders) are chosen by God to teach people truth and lead them on the right path. Yet, neither the religions of the world nor any of their leaders have been able to fulfill the covenant of the Father in providing the earth’s inhabitants with the happiness and peace He has promised them.

Religion and science destroy peace and happiness because of the action and precepts of their “locusts and horsemen” who torment the people.

There is no precept of religion or science that comprehends or properly explains reality—which is things as they were, as they are, and as they are to come. Science is a type of religion, just as religion is a type of science, wherein the mystery of life remains a mystery to those who don’t understand it, but pretend to.

The aim of both science and religion is one in the same in trying to come to a logical conclusion about why, how, and when humans came into existence.

Job 26:7
He is stretching out the north over the empty place,
Hanging the earth upon nothing.

Isaiah 40:22
There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth, the dwellers in which are as grasshoppers, the One who is stretching out the heavens just as a fine gauze, who spreads them out like a tent in which to dwell.

The Bible showed thousands of years ago that the earth was round & not flat way before Christopher Columbus. This all shows that the Bible truly is inspired of God himself who made all things.

I think science has the promise to know all the answers, but I'm not sure it ever will. There is just too much to learn and know. But it will be pretty watching them try.
Science has no boundaries outside the laws of nature. Its endless and always changing. Its fascinating!

No one will ever have ALL the answers. As every answer seems to spawn 10 new questions.
As real answers need proof and evidence, the answer can only be, - science. ~
Meta physics and religion aren't even in the game.

Since religion can supply no answers whatever, the answer is obvious. There was no universe prior to the big bang.
