My research suggests that some people hate the opposite sex, and will do anything to destroy the opposite sex, and the heterosexual union.

Most normal people benefit from the opposite sex and marry them. However this logic is missing from many social programs that divide the sexes.

Are you aware of any of this ?

I'm a brazillian and many, many people in my church refuse to believe evolution. Today i read a magazine called "super interessante" (super interesting in english), it is often mistaken for a serious publication for spreading scientific facts to laypeople, it is not a serious publication.

It was about evolution. The headline on the cover was: "Darwin the man that killed God". I found it so absurd, so increadbly nonsense, and it got me thinking: "Well, no wonder some people simply deny the theory of evolution, if I thought it was a theory about denyng God (which IT ISN'T, im sorry for the capital letter but IT ISN'T), i too would deny it sience it obviously fails to deny God".

okay so I've asked these questions before and still no one has givin me a logical answer for them. How come Adam and Eve werent the first ones to go to hell? and if they were, how come it doesent mention that in the bible?and if they were forgiven then how come that wasnt mentioned in the bible? Wouldnt god put that they were forgiven in the bible if they really were? What does Easter have to do with eggs and Rabbits...seriously!? What does Santa claus have to do with christs birthday being on the 25, of December? and how come the bible does not mention any holiday in it except birthdays? I know exactly what religious group can give me a logical answer for all my questions and if you would like to know what group email me or look at my profile. Can you answer all my questions with a logical answer?

Isnt our support of any War directly aggrevates hardship and death on innocent civilians iresspective of our finger pointing and reasons for War. Isnt accoriding to any scripture Forgiveness is most important and vital. I wonder why are people emotionally attahed to their religion or country. Peace should be the first proirity for every human being by every human being. The least we can do to contribute to humanity is stand up for peace. Agree or disagree?

Did everyone hear there is a mother trying to ban Harry Potter? Because there is too much 'witch craft in it? Personally my kids like it. But, with anything, I limit everything they watch and for how long. What are your thoughts??

Apparently thats what he does. Apparently he sends us to hell if we don't believe in him, very "loving". And he doesn't even proove he exists so that we all know what will happen if we "reject" him. The "bible", doesn't proove anything. There's many people, good and decent who were brought up in differnet cultures which shaped their views of the world and hense why they are Hindus... etc. And god will punish them.....?

Why is it that when I tell them that I think it's impolite for them to pray for me without my permission, they think it's a good idea to say, basically, "Shut up, we'll do it if we want to!" Oh yeah, and calling me "princess" is a smooth move, too.

Does anyone honestly believe that's going to make me want to convert to their religion? If you're praying for me to convert, and yet you deliberately antagonize me, why bother with the prayers?

I mean, unless you think God's going to take away my free will and convert me anyway....

Why cant he just be one OF the people who knows the way. And please dont say, cuz it says it in the bible. Cuz if its not true, then its like asking a liar if he's lying. I believe jesus existed, I just dont see why he's any different than any other joe on the street. Why couldnt he be just the best salesman of his time? Wouldnt it make sense that there are many ways to get to the same place. Like when you go to the beach, just because you know one way, doesnt mean there is not another way too.

My ex brought a third party into our marriage. We were both unsaved when we married. I later accepted Jesus during the separation and divorce. I did try to reconcile but so much had gone on, I knew it would not work. I have remained single because of what the scriptures say but now I believe that I probably could remarry if I found a believer who loved the Lord as much as I do. What say you? Anyone in this position out there?

I'm interested to hear anyone's answer but especially Christians. I'm curious as to if people think there are degrees of sexual sin. I consider myself Christian and masturbate even though I've been told that was wrong. However, I've been raised that sexual sin is one of the worst sins you can commit. I'm not real committed I guess but kind of thought I would wait till I got married for the right girl. Well the other week I drank too much alcohol and have been really lonely and ended up doing something I regret. I also did it with somone I don't love, just a casual friend. I'm trying to tell myself that's it's not that bad but it keeps eating at me. Anyway, no actual intercourse was involved but close to it... sorry to be crude but ya. I really don't like the way I view myself in light of that, but I'm just wondering, do you think there are sexual sins that aren't as bad, like if you climax but not through traditional sex is it less bad?

Additionally, ancient Hebrews thought that the afterlife was a shadow of this life, similar to classic Greek & Roman views on Hades.


Hell, in its current form, was invented by the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages to fill seats.

Just curious as to whether your current denomination has tried to fill in this logical oddity. I know that two Christian denominations (Roman & Orthodox Catholicism) have tried, but that's the benefit (or curse) of having to hash out the original Christian canon.

For a change, I want serious answers. Father Guido/Zebra/and other atheists/agnostics with a strong knowledge of church history feel free as well.

I can understand a protest if their tax dollars were being used for it, but it is COMPLETELY privately funded. Why bother? If creationism is such a ludicrous belief, why do they act so threatened by it? They're acting like religious zealots if you ask me.
