It is written as blaspheming the Holy Spirit. To be more exact, it is denying the Holy Spirit when He prompts one to follow after God.
To deny God is the ultimate finish which is unforgiveable. That is, to die, never having given yourself to Him. Once a person repents in this life, giving their heart to the Lord, all sins are forgiven. Dying without Him is final.
