And why does He need us to serve Him, matter fact why would God want or need anything, if He is everything, shouldn't He be free of wants and needs?

Therefore the strength of a true religion would be obvious to everyone in the world. If one god(s) answers prayers and another doesn't, wouldn't everyone convert to the faith that worked? Doesn't the fact that no religion has ever been the majority in the world prove that they are all invalid?

Reason being, I believe at first THE CREATOR didnt have a name to be held by! It was a human who gave that name. So if that human gave that name...he/she can also give any other that name. It's like they limit his/her name to God when it its much more than just that! The Almighty or Creator is a name that no one can get.

According to a survey posted on the National Catholic Reporter, here are the percentages of people who say that torture is never justified:

26% Catholics
31% White Protestant
31% White evangelical
41% Secular
32% Overall Population

Here are the numbers who think that torture is often justified:

21% Catholics
15% White Protestant
13% White evangelical
10% Secular
15% Overall Population

If Christians believe in the innate sanctity of each human life, that each is made in the image of God, then why would the torture of such people be supported by Christians much more readily than by secular people?

No? So can someone who murders people go to heaven if they have accepted Christ as their savior? Yes good deeds do get you to heaven. Jesus even said it --- Sermon on the mount, he will say to those on judgement day who have never helped others: "Depart from me, ye who are cursed into the fires of the devil... for i was hungry and you did not feed me". Jesus made it clear that we MUST help others to get to heaven. There's is no ignoring it. If you believe that good/bad deeds don't affect your judgement, than you believe that someone can murder people and ruin people's lives and still go to heaven through acception of christ.

the muslims. why don't Americans withdraw from Iraq and let the iraqi decide for themselves? Why do you prejudge people? have you ever tried to get in deep into the quran and tried to understand it.s rules and principles? As muslims we never allow that one of the prophets such as Jesus ond Moise would be insulted, why do they try to insult our beloved and merciful prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him)?

Okay this is my problem. I have believed in God for the longest time and I do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. (Please no replies about how your beliefs are different from mine) The thing is that sometimes I feel like I'm a very strong Christian and always trying to be the faithful servant that Jesus wants me to be but then there are other times where I dont want a thing to do with God and revert back to my old life of profanity, looking at porn, being really selfish, stuff like that. What can I do to keep my focus completely on God because I want to...You have no idea how bad I want to but it seems through no action of my own, I just switch off for a lack of a better term from being a Christian and follow something else that tickles my fancy at that moment. I need help. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance and God bless.

I am faced with a very serious decision, that I have to make quickly.I need to hear from the Lord and to know His will in the matter. I need some kind of affirmation from Him that whatever decision is the correct one and is in His will. Thank you so much to anyone who will pray for me.
Love,
Your sister in Christ

Christians believe that (1) God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are one personage and NOT three personages united in one purpose, and (2) that God is a spirit, and does not have a body of flesh and bone. That would make Jesus a spirit as well, and therefore, the resurrection never happened (??), or did it?.

Can someone explain this paradox, since if Christ did resurrect why would He become a spirit again and not keep His resurrected body. If it wasn't that big of a deal to resurrect, why did he show His resurrected body to his apostles and disciples? If He decided to become a spirit again, would that not cheapen the whole triumph of resurrecting?
