I would hope that all the money that is currently being spent on defense or offense would be spent instead on making life better for all people everywhere.

World Peace would only come by the world changing...
right now, most if not all people don't seem to be willing or able to make it happen. It would take alot of love, selflessness and tolerance on everyone's part. It would take loving eachother unconditionally... it would be like making a marriage work. People would have to believe it can happen, agree to it, and continually work on it, to make it work. I believe it can happen though... little kids can be taught to hate and kill, little kids are also apt to learning how to love and heal... in this world, we grow up learning both things at the same time and are told we have a choice on how to be. In a way, that's good, but that's a big reason why sometimes a person chooses to do bad things and sometimes a person chooses good things. Thats why I think we have to be taught why something is good and why something is bad for ourselves and others because it isn't always obvious. Life should be about loving eachother and learning from eachother. This process takes forgiveness and that's why I believe in the teaching of Jesus. He is the best example I can think of concerning what it is to forgive and to be humble. Because a person who needs forgiveness needs to learn humbleness and the person who does the forgiving needs to be humble too, because we are all learning; both "christian" and "non-christian" The world can make world peace possible and when it happens, it will be like heaven. Nothing will be confusing, everyone and everything will be understood, because everyone will be very much connected to themselves and to everyone else. Unconditionally loving someone for who they are makes all of this possible.

World peace is only two words thrown together to try to forge a common goal or ideology. The real trouble with world peace is it is counter productive to our leaders and other powers and yes, even common everyday people. World peace would force us to look beyond skin color, beyond country, beyond our religions or belief, and beyond looking at all other differences and into looking at what is best for all humans and our world. It would be the driven goal and focus of the human race to have all of us survive whatever may come, it would cause us to build, expand and evolve into the next evolutionary phase. As long as we stay commited to keeping peace and a policy of everyone rules and has a right to speak for the benefit of us all. It would take powerfull leaders that really do put the needs of everyone before themselves to make sure this dream is realized and kept.
