Will the Christians build museums dedicated to the Crusades and the Inquisition? Don't they want all of their history made into huge panoramas.

Is it a sin, or isn’t it? What is your opinion on whether a person is born that way or whether they choose the behavior?

The way I understand it is that if they claim that God made them that way then Biblically God is contradicting himself; creating them a way he says in his word not to be…it would be like setting a plate full of warm cookies on a table and telling a child “Don’t eat them”. Yet, I hear so many homosexuals claiming to be Christian and saying God made them that way. Are they suggesting God makes mistakes? Or that God is unjust? Or are they simply omitting scriptures? It is my belief that we are all born into a world of sin, and we are all effected by it in different ways. Where one person might have the desire to sin by stealing, or lying, or adultery…gay people have the desire to sin sexually with someone of the same gender. So many of them claim that they didn’t choose to be gay…I find that statement to be incorrect, they might not have chosen to have the desires, but they did choose to have sex with someone of the same gender…which means they CHOSE to be gay. There is no such thing as a homosexual, only people with homosexual desires. What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? My sister is gay so I am not homophobic, I am friends with her and her girlfriend, but I cannot support their lifestyle or a marriage between them. *Waits for Abetterfate to find this question and say something particularly nasty*…

He was a contempory of Jesus but never followed Jesus while He lived.

When Jesus walked the Earth, He never built a church or spoke to his congregation in a church. In fact, His visit to the Temple wound up as fight with priests and money changers. After Paul and his dream of keys to heaven and Earth, Christian priests became the same kind of gate-keepers as Jewish priests before them.

Didn't Paul keep his oath to destroy the spirit of Jesus' congregation?

It is astonishing that some Christians have blurted out that they are not following a religion in their walk with Christ. Let's see...

religion (n) - a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
-dictionary.com

You can't simply change the definitions of words without warrant. Words have clear definitions to allow substance in communication. Claiming that Christianity does not fit the definition above can serve no purpose but to distort the facts.

Even assuming Christianity to be true, by definition, it would STILL BE A RELIGION.

There will be no relevancy found in arguments over semantics. We will only tumble into despair. Anyone agree, or perhaps disagree?

It doesn't matter which theory is correct or which one that you believe.

What matters is that Creation is not science. And this fact is indisputable.

Shouldn`t we see Nature and the Universe as the fundamental truth? Shouldn`t we leave
the narrow-minded struggle over dogmas
behind us and concentrate on the further development of mankind ?

So the other day some Jehovah's Witnesses came to my door and of course gave me some little booklets and I was nice because they didn't directly preach to me. (by the way I'm not Christian) And I brought in the little booklet and my little brother picked it up (he's mega-Christian and 13) and started yelling, "They're so stupid! There entire religion contradicts itself!"

Is it just me or was really ironic?

How about Vishnu?
Or Ahura Mazda?
If not, why would you expect others to do so with your god?

It seems to me that no Atheist has ever killed anyone, or even hurt anyone in the name of Atheism. On the other hand people kill others in the name of religion all the time throughout history. Why is it that Atheism gets such a bad reputation when they don't cause anywhere near as much trouble as "religious people"?

like durring world war 2 when the jews where getting killed the cathlic church was given information about the killings that where taking place with the jews and did not speek out because they where not cathlics. but they did speek out when the nazi's where killing mentally disabled cathlics. or how christain organizations only help christain kids, like their is such a thing as a christain kid. very young kids do not know enough about faith and religion to know what they are or make a decision on it. i would think these organizations would just help those in need instead of just helping people of their faith.

I never achieve thinkning of nothing, I usually daydream when I try. But I used to lean back in a tub full of warm water & concentrate on blue (a deep purplish blue mind you) then I could think almost nothing and the fringes of my vision would color.
