If a person commits a crime such as murder they can still go to heaven, if they accept Christ, and if they turn away from that sin. If they murdered someone after accepting God, they would be turning away from God, if Jesus was truly your lord and savior you would not kill a person because you know that it is wrong. If you realize that it is wrong then repent then you will be forgiven. Repent-to turn away from something and NEVER go back to it.
As for good deeds, good deeds done to get attention will get you no where. There is a story in the bible about a pharasie who gave an offering of a large sum of money and let people know so he would get attention. At the same time a poor women brought all she had which wasn't much, she gave it with a prayer to God to bless it. Jesus said that her offering was more blessed because she was humble and she gave all she had.
Matthew 23:5-7
5"Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them 'Rabbi.'
Also good deeds alone do not get you to heaven alone. If you have not excepted Jesus then you will not get into heaven, God excpects you to do good deeds. But with good deeds alone you will not go to heaven. Good deeds are not bad, they please God and show your love for Him. Lots of people think good deeds alone will get you into heaven, let me tell you, that is not what I believe!

Good/Bad deeds alone, will not cause you to go to heaven. The scripture tells us that " If you believe in your heard and cofess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God, that you will be saved. Not by your good works, but by the grace of God, will anyone be saved.
Remember Paul, who was Saul, who wrote most of the books of the new testement, he was a murder of Christians, and so many other people, and he wrote many of the books of the bible. I believe he made it into the Kingdom of Heaven. On the other hand, I also believe that all the good works that Soloman did, being the WISEST man on earth, I believe that he lost his soul. Because of the worshiping of idols. Asher pools and other statues.
God is a forgiving God, Jesus came to save the lost. I would say, that anyone who MURDERS is LOST. Anyone who doesn't believe is lost.

Therory is he accepted to be a christian and follow the step of Christ, he will be accepted to heaven. this rule should be the life is not only this time, you will have previous time and future time. Heaven and hell is not a space of zone or direction. Our universal is round not a straight line. Let's us draw a circle represent earth and we are the bottom part of the earth point, our sky is up or down? Heaven and hell is not different than a line even the same situation you can say it is heaven and it is hell. Those are our traditional habits and acceptable is heaven, unwilling is hell. during summer in Hawaii, you need to work there under the sun, you feel heaven? but you are in vacation to take sunbath there, is it heaven? If heaven is everlasting, nothing will be changed, nothing will happen, then will be a disaster, you will have no challenging, no hope, no surprise. no promotion. I definately say, I will not be there. If hell need to improve, I prefer to go there. I will have hope and promotion.
I tell you a secret which is our willing to born here. Our willing sometimes we may not really know. Most of the people will say why I am here. If you sit down and looking at your mind coming up and down, you still know you looking at your mind up and down and do not follow your mind. Then why your mind came up, and why you are here.

Wrong.
Your deeds do not get you into heaven. Your trust and faith in Jesus does. Because your past sins have been forgiven, and the Holy Spirit dwells in you, you are following the commandments of Jesus.
Thus, your deeds will be good deeds because Jesus is good, and you will be judged on those things (as far as your rewards --not salvation), that were done since you have been saved and walking in the Spirit.

There seems to be some confusion with being saved, one can not buy One's way into Heaven. This salvation is given to everyone freely to each everyone that believes in Jesus AND does the Will of His Father in Heaven.
This could include a murderer, "...for all have sinned..."

Only mercy and grace of God gets us to heaven. Accepting Jesus comes with instructions and it is not that simple as you think. If murderer has never loved Jesus, it is not going to happen very easily.
Deeds are required from us, but not for salvation. Jesus demands us to do good even though we do not get saved by deeds.

no you don't. a murderer who REPENTS can get to Heaven. repentance requires change. abusing God's forgiveness however (sinning and thinking you'll get away with it because you're planning to 'repent' afterwards), is living carnally, and Heaven isn't a guarantee.
no. works don't get you to Heaven. they're just expected. the works themselves don't matter as much as the heart they were done with. so if you scoffed at a poor person, then your scoffing was wrong, not necessarily not giving. He who gives to the poor lends to the Lord". you'll also notice that the Bible says we don't earn our salvation "so no man can boast".
God looks at the heart more than the actions. a 'good deed' done for gaining favor in the public eye isn't truly good. and what of the disabled? if you can't but want to, you're in the right. like the widow and her mite: she gave with an earnest heart while the Pharisees gave lots but did it to be recognized.
it's the soul that counts

No, good deeds do not grant you salvation. Works are something that we do because we love Jesus....Ephesians tells us "for it is by grace you are saved, through faith, not by works that any man should boast". I don't mean to offend you, but you are misunderstanding the meanings in those verses you quoted.
And you are wrong about this one thing, dear. If a murderer would confess their sins, repent, and ask Jesus to forgive them, even at the last minute of their life, yes...they would be saved.

Once u become a christian then good deeds will follow. If you are saved and are still a cold-hearted person then u might need to do some checking
For God so loved the world that He sent His one and only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.... ~John 3:16~

You are mistaken, my friend. Read Eph. 2:8-9. For by grace (unearned forgiveness) you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Read Galatians 2:16-21. Same message. Once saved and filled with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we are free (Rom. 8:1 There is therefore no now condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus). We are not saved by works or justified by works. We demonstrate our love for God by our works, and will be rewarded or not rewarded according to our works. But judgment is only for those who reject Christ.
