Why do supporters of Darwinian evolution try to "cover up the tracks" of the Paluxy River dinosaur tracks, which was proven scientific find, and a revolutionizing indeed? Who has a theory against this find in particular? I posted this question in religion because I believe it's a case for religion. Both evolution, nor Jesus raising up from the dead can be proven with today's science. I'm saying today because it will eventually be proven by Jesus when he comes here for the 1000-year reign. So about the question, what do you think about this find?

put the religion aside and say "wait a minute, I'm going to right my own wrongs and not wait for some god to swoop down and do it for me". when did you wake up and take control of your own life? there's always a straw that breaks the camel's back.

mine's was when I was and found out that my daughter's baby sitter was locking the children on her back porch to get a break from them. I came earlier than usual and caught her. This lady preached about god and about her being saved every single day. she judged everyone, including myself to the point of hating her. I didn't hold her beliefs against her as long as I thought she was being nice to the kids. long story short, I ended up calling DCFS on her and had her little heavenly angels day care shut down. I never felt so gratified! It felt really good standing up for myself and letting go once and for all the religious hocus pocus that had clouded my life.

so what's your story?

Just wondering I have been told that catholics and the catholic church dose not recognize Protestant marriage and children born in that marriage are considered illigetament,
and they don't consider your saved or will go to Heaven when you die unless you are catholic .
is that true or are people catholic bashing?

Alright I'm looking for a book chapter verse reference to where Jesus explains why His disciples do not go with out wine or food. he says something like "when the bridegroom and bride are with you at the reception don't you celebrate with them? there will come a time when my followers will have to fast and go without wine but it is not while the bridegroom is with them"

i can't find where this is from biblegateway but i really need to know where this passage is. THANKS!

I just saw something (link on yahoo home page) about a museum about creation that teaches that god created dinosaurs at the same time as man. I think it will show people what utter rubbish it all is and will make more Atheists so I am all for it.

I asked earlier if there was anything clearly not intelligently designed. The best answer I got (in fact the only serious answer) was, a rock.

However, this implies that ID is only applicable to living organisms. If that is true, how did the rock get there? Since the rock has no signs of having an intelligent creator, under ID theory we can conclude it had no creator, and thus G-d did not create the rock. the rock being a piece of Earth, therefore implies that G-d did not create the earth.

Thus if you believe in ID, you must conclude that there was no divine creator of earth, or atl east that the creator responsible was different from whoever made animals.

to serve in the military? Jesus' teachings are all about love, forgiveness and turning the other cheek. How can a good Christian serve in the armed forces where you may be required to use aggression against other people? At the very least, even administrative positions are supporting the aggression.

I have heard in here a lot about homosexual marriage. I have heard Christians say it is an abomination and God hates it.
I know in the OT it says that God hates it and that if a man lays with another man as he would a women they should be stoned etc etc...
I have then also heard many Christians say that Jesus came and changed the old laws, therefore we do not need to follow them.
I do not believe Jesus spoke of homosexuality, but He did say that we should love everyone.
So how do Christians maintain that homosexuality is wrong? but then say the OT laws are not what we follow now?

I myself have no issue with homosexuals, and believe they should have a right to marry, like any other person. I do not see how it affects my life or any one else's and I do not see how "hating' gay people coincides with Jesus saying to Love everyone.

Some people think that discrimination against homosexual people should be allowed because they call it a 'choice', and they say that if homosexual people do not like being denied certain legal rights then all they have to do is change their sexual attraction.

Although scientific studies have shown homosexuality to be biological, religion has not been shown to be biological. Religion is a choice.

Since religion is a choice, should there be no legal protections based on religion? If someone of a certain religion does not want to be discriminated against, all they would have to do is convert to another religion to avoid discrimination. Do those who want to deny legal protections for homosexuals by calling it a 'choice' agree that the choice of religion should be denied those same protections?

Even if you think homosexuality is a 'choice', isn't denying certain rights to homosexuals while wanting those same rights in regards to the choice of religion hypocritical?

Why does it threaten people to have their religion questioned or opposed? Do they think that if too many people jump ship, they will have to re-examine, or is it a bandwagon thing? I am looking for rational respectful answers.

asked for an update on my mother when I had one. So...

She is still in a lot of pain, but has been moved to a palliative care facility where pain management is their speciality. We're not sure if she's ever going to come home, but now we know she will be getting the best possible care at no cost to her (thank the Gods for socialized medicine).

So the question is, will you accept my thanks for your kind thoughts and words? They meant, and mean, a great deal in this very stressful time.

Satan influences Jews, Hindus, Muslims, and atheists into thinking their way is right.

If you dare to question Christianity as being true then you are on a slippery slope to burning in Hell forever.

If you pray, God will let you know Christianity is the one true religion and the only way to Heaven. Everyone else will burn.

I can't believe why people say Christianity is unfair. These people are under the influence of the devil.

It is the EASIEST thing in the world to become a Christian. All you have to do is to pray and you will know that it is the only true religion. You may say that you pray and you feel Christianity isn't true and what makes your feeling better than mine? The answer is simple. You haven't prayed hard enough and the devil is controlling your thoughts.

There is nothing unfair about burning in Hell forever if you are not a Christian because it is so easy to become one. Agree?
