This is a serious question, and please no name calling:
Did Bill Gates Evolve Microsft Windows?

or did Intelligent Programmers write it?

DNA is not Just a Code, It is a Program.

DNA is a program which runs the building of all living creatures, controling all aspects of a creature's life.

It is read, replicates, corrects errors and is so complicated that we have just begun to understand a few words.

If we believe Bill Gates hired intelligent programmers for Windows, why is it so hard to believe that perhap a super-human intelligence wrote DNA code into the programs it is today?

Why do so many people not want the church to have the Tridentine Latin Mass. It is kind of like a traditional thing in our church and many people are having a new interest in this and some older people are attached to it. It would only be performed by the priests that want to do this. If people like this mass better why should we put restrictions on it?

Many Christians are defending the validity of the bible by saying that it has accurately predicted many catastrophic and significant events. What is your rebuttal to this? Here is a list of just a few.

1) God predicted that the temple in Jerusalem would be totally destroyed (Matthew 24:2). About 40 years later this was literally fulfilled as the Romans destroyed the temple under Titus.

2) God predicted to Abraham that his descendants would be slaves in a foreign land for 400 years (Genesis 15:13). Several generations later, following the death of Joseph, this was literally fulfilled (Exodus 1).

3) God through Daniel predicted the coming world empires of Persia, Greece and Rome (Daniel 2, Daniel 7, etc.) with such accuracy that unbelieving scholars have insisted that the book of Daniel must have been written at a much later time because no one living in Daniel’s day could have known about these future kingdoms!

I read this a few minutes ago in a religious forum (not this one).

"Proselytization is essential. It is our duty to beat them into submission."

Your thoughts?

We know that the Bible as we read it has been translated many times. Not everything that was in the original recordings are included in the modern-day Bible.

For example, up until the 4th century, reincarnation was accepted by many religions including Christianity. Then it was restructured by Emperor Constantine and many passages of the Bible were deleted. Still there remains a few passages that were missed that prove reincarnation:

John 9 tells of a man born blind and the disciples ask Jesus if it is because of his parents' sins or of his own....so obviously it was understood at the time that there was such a thing as reincarnation. Since the man was blind from birth he would have had to have lived before in order for his sin to cause him blindness in his current life.

Also Matthew 17 (see my previous question for details)....John the Baptist was Elijah in a previous lifetime

The two greatest commandments are these:

1. Love God with all of your heart, mind, body and soul.

and

2. Love your neighbor as you would love yourself.

So you can curse us, and scoff, and type up all the "clever" questions that you can think of, but we will not be angry. We will not hate you. We only want to love you. You can accept Christ or not, that is what we wish, but it is between you and God. But whatever happens we will love you until the end and beyond.

if religion is a way of keeping people ignorant and therefore controllable, whoever moves the threads has the power.
Dont you think we are approaching that day? the day when people will cease to think on their own and just admit anything a supposed new spiritual leader/messiah may say.

On Friday, May 25, 2007, a riot broke in Baroda over a naked painting of prophet Muhammed. The muslim community rioted after Friday's jumma prayer. Had the city on complete lock down. Previously someone had painted naked pictures of Hindu gods and godesses. The Hindus did not react the same way with such anger. What should we think of Hindus? Are they more tolerant or simply cowards? Why are they like this? Any reason?

Really why do you care what I or anyone else believes?

How has religion affected you personally?

Why is there an utter lack of rational discourse, but rather accusatory name calling

Do you realize how strident and afraid you sound?

How does it come that the Roman Catholic church states that Peter has established their church in Rome while not one verse in the Bible says that he has ever been there.
First Peter 5:13 says that he was in Babylon to preach to the Jews ( Galatians 2:9)

I have ran out of points for answers
so I will leave you all with big hugs and a little thought

Learn to be free. Do not imprison yourself. Do not hedge yourself around and refuse to allow new inspiration to come to you. Truth is a constant search. Its boundaries are ever widening, for as the soul evolves the mind responds.
