Okay, first of all when they wrote the new testament they weren't geared towards writing it to the 21st cetury. No matter what the new testament talks about Jesus and how he comes back. it's new because it's about something new that will happen one day, it's not like you write a book about how to use a stove, but what it someone 2 centuries later has a technologically advanced stove and they say that hey this person should've of written it towards this century. I mean the people never knew!

It's called the New Testament because it supersedes the one before it. When the terms "New Testament" and "Old Testament" were first coined by Tertullian in the 2nd century, it was still fairly new. The canon of the New Testament wasn't completely decided on until the 4th century anyway.

It is New because they keep on adding stuff or taking stuff out. It never even got into its current form until the 1700's.
It is still getting changed too.
Just look at the differences in the new translations and the older ones.
It is not just the New Testament the mess with but the Old Testament as well. For one thing they have got rid of Lilith and substituted a screech owl instead.

It's called the "New" Testament because God just got fed up with the shenanigans of those awful Jews and made a "contract" with the Christians. In the "Old" Contract, God redeemed His chosen people from slavery in Egypt and required them to follow His 613 commandments. The "New" contract obsolves "believers" from accountability for their sins and grants them a free pass to eternal bliss, while condemning those nasty Jews to eternal torment.

The Old one is about 5 or 6 thousand years old so the new one is new relative to the old.
And some things God created are still perfect. It is just that we mess them up. Love is still love. Babies are still a wonder to behold, and inheriting eternal life-knowing Him, is still the greatest thing in the world. Always has been always will be. There is nothing new under the sun.
