The question for a believer with a heart towards pleasing God is not, "How far can I go before I've crossed the line and sinned?"... but instead.... "How far AWAY from sin can I possibly get?" When your question is this 2nd one and not the first, your worries about sin will mostly be gone.
Ultimately the best strategy is to learn about the gift of righteousness which is freely given to all who trust in Christ (having made Jesus the Lord of their lives -Romans 10:9).
Scripture wisely advises us: "Awake to RIGHTEOUSNESS... and sin not." The way to sin not- is to awake to righteousness.

well your there in the presence of a striper so i think that is sin as well. You can cover your eyes, but it doesn't matter its still a sin. You can leave thats the best part to get out of sin. buying a dirty book is sin haveing it in your house is a sin even if you don't look at it same thing with the stirpper.

Sin is Sin is Sin. Sin is anything outside of the perfect will of God. If you are guilty of one , you are guilty of all. The question would be If that person is covered by the Blood of the Christ, who forgives us of what we have done are doing and are yet to do.

A real born again Christian would not want to go to places like that so, YES, its a sin, and sin is wrong. Some people have a warm fuzzy moment and call it salvation, then next Friday and Saturday night, they are out drinking and party hardy. I would question their salvation because as a new Christian, you don't want to do the old things any more.

Actually, when I was a new born-again Christian some co-workers wanted to plan a get together after work to go to a Chippendale-type club.
At first I thought it would be fun, but then I realized that I was a King's kid and that I would put God in a very bad light if I went so I told them to go without me. Not to let me hold them back. Everyone tried to talk me into it but I stood my ground. Eventually, no one went.
So I would say it depends on where a person is living in Christ as to whether its a sin. I dared to be different. They still liked me as a friend so all was not lost.

I suppose it would depend on the reason for going. But, the basic answer is yes, because even if you are going there to speak to someone about the Gospel, you could probably do just as well standing outside waiting on people to come out. The Lord's Prayer says "lead us not into temptation", and going into a strip club would definitely fall into this category.

I'm afraid, my friend, that it doesn't matter so much what you do once you're there. What matters is your motivation in going. You go to a strip club because you have feelings of lust, which is, in fact, one of the seven deadlies. No way of getting around it. Same deal with porn movies and porn magazines, even if your girlfriend believes you only look at them for the articles. God's hip to what's really going on.

No. Anyone who says it's wrong to go to strip clubs has never been to a strip club. And St. Louis, Missouri (on the East Side) has the BEST STRIP CLUBS in the country.

If it's not an obsession, i think it's ok. There are lots of "successful" people who go and nobody holds them accountable for it : p It's how you live your life overall that matters. Dissecting every thought n action's gonna make it more confusing. Think on the love of God more often and it will lead to "right" thoughts.

Jesus said that whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery in his heart. Whether you are a Christian or not, it is a sin to lust after a woman that you are not married to. A person who loves God would not even wonder about it.
