Why is everyone talking about High School I live in Nyc We do not have Seminary in Our High School We Have to go to our Church to Get Taught.

Kids start seminary at 14. So you have only one year to wait. That's really cool that you are excited about it. In the meantime, read your scriptures and you might want to get ahold of the church religion manuals which correspond to the different works. They are excellent sources of information. Keep reading, keep studying. You'll get your chance very soon!

In most schools LDS seminary is offered in grades 9-12. You get release time or take it before or after school depending on where you live. Here in Utah release time is given. What is it you expect to learn? That the Priesthood of Aaron and that of Jesus can co-exist?
Hebrews 7:12-14
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
What does this mean? The Priesthood of Christ is differnt that that of Aaron. That the Priesthood of Aaron can only be held by men of the tribe of Levi. That salvation can only come through the Priesthood of Christ.. You church is doing it wrong!! If they can't get priesthood right just think of how messed up the plan of salvation is. I think you would be better off getting to know the Jesus of the Bible and setting aside the Mormon myths... Jim

Well, if you are so eager to learn, besides doing personal studies of the scriptures, there are seminary manuels that you could get. Ask around, some member may have some old one that you could borrow.
