If you had to say "This is why getting out of bed is worth it" --- what would that be?

I don't have this until my son's visit nears - then I have a reason to return to living. After his visit is over and he flys "home" - well it's purely biological I guess as I am very sad.

Human connection. I love really talking to people. I love learning. And I love when I can explain something to someone in a way that's meaningful to them.
I'm a psych major, and hope to be a counselor one day, but even when I was in high school and I'd finish my work early and my teacher would send me around the room to help other people who were struggling - I loved when I could explain the assignment or the concept and see them "get it."
I love the lightbulb moments!

I always set physical and mental goals. By age 50, (45 now) I will be in the best shape of my life and I will have a masters degree.

The opportunity to enlarge my "intellectual data base". This contributes to my increased understanding of the dynamics responsible for continuing specialization of species which is necessary for adaptation to an ever changing environment. This ability for adaptation provides them an increased likelihood for survival.

I want to enjoy myself, learn stuff, interact with other people, and do enough things that when I'm old and useless I won't be cursing for all the things I didn't do.
