the only way I can answer it is from a personal perspective. I think people would rather hear that I have felt God in my life, then hear "the bible says so".

There is no real proof that Christ existed. Other that a few brief mentions of someone that could have been Jesus in Jewish and Roman sources, it's basically unprovable. Josephus, Pliny the Younger, Tacitus, and a few others make mention of Christ or a close associate, or wrote about Christians and Christianity not long after the fact. But, for the most part, there is no real proof that Christ existed historically, and unless new evidence is offered, probably never will be.

First of all history knows that there was a man that existed 2007 years ago. Since writings are historic wirting, not just the Bible but many others, he would not have been written about if he did not live in the times. So he was a real individual living on this earth.
The difference in that he was also the son of God. And still is here today. Proof? It is not about proof. Ask you friend to prove that Pluto exists. No not what someone else says---ask them to prove that it exists. Jesus exists in someone 's life because that person feels Him, it is something that cannpt be done for someone else. Thay must ask for themselves.

How can an accident, or big bang, be responsible for mankind??? The human body is an intricate piece of machinery and for chemicals and all to accidental flow together, I don't think so.
It took Devin intervention to make man and if you look all around you, you can see the hand of God at work. As you talk about the word of God, look at the History Channel, Discovery Channel and the Learning Channel for all the archaeological finds that have been uncovered, all written in the Bible.
There is a certain amount of Faith involved, but the end result is a pretty good retirement program that no one else can offer you.

i am not a big religion fan, now i am more agnostic or a non believer, but i used to feel that jesus is all around us. the trees, the air, the ground, the children, maybe cuz all of these i feel are a blessing. i always wonder if religion is something someone made up a long time ago and it just hasn't been proven wrong yet mostly cuz people are not (and probly never will be in my opinion) intelligent and/or open minded enuff to understand it. for example: remember when most ppl thought the earth was the center of the universe? anyways, i can keep going but i am off the subject. forgive me, i was compelled to say all that.

I hate to put it this way, and perhaps I shouldn’t, but I will because you and others should consider the primary point here, and forgive me for it is not meant to be rude, or evasive, given I am not answering your actual question.
How, I ask you, can you admit having discussions about non-believers and your views being clearly of a Christian nature, ask such a question when it is clear to all, that one would only ask that question, should they not know the answer? You presumable are a believer, but how on earth did you come to that belief, if you don’t know the answer to such a clearly obvious question?
If you are a believer, then upon what do you base your belief?
Begs belief, Blind belief?
To believe, in any case, is to openly admit to all, that you are stating your not sure, and that’s what belief is, but least most believers will or should have something to base or substantiate their belief upon, be-it only in mind.

You can't. The bible was written 200 years later, there are no contemporary accounts (the first, Josephus, was 60 years after the death). But we aren't just asking for proof that Jesus lived - that's not hard to accept. We're asking for proof that he was divine.

The Bible teaches following the law and living an upright life. That is the law. If someone doesn't believe it now then they will when they run afoul of the law. The law is not fictional and it is written into the laws of every society. The ten commandments are fairly universal in every society.

I believe that there is a good chance that jesus could actually have been a real person of the past. What i find hard to believe is that he had all these "divine" powers and resurected by the dead. He fooled a generation catlle herding morons and that seemed to folow well into the 21 century.
