I will use the New World Translation bible as that is the version that Jehovah's Witnesses use.
Job 1:4 "And his sons went and held a banquet at the house of each one 'on his own day'; and they sent and invited their three sisters to eat and drink with them"

'his own day' refers to their day of birth which becomes clear when in Job 3:1-3 it says "It was after this that Job opened his mouth and began to call down evil upon 'his day'. Job now answered and said: 'Let the day perish on which I came to be born...."

Then in Lukes gospel: Luke 1:14 "And you will have joy and great gladness, and many will rejoice over his birth" Referring to the birth of John the Baptist as an occasion of rejoicing.

Now a Watchtower quote "Since no men of faith are recorded in the bible as having celebrated their birthdays, but only wicked men........."

So according to what Watchtower says, do you believe that Job had wicked sons, and that Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, were wicked men

I am just curious... i sometimes see small groups of women, always accompanied by a man, who wear handkercheif type scarfs on their heads, have long hair and wear long conservative type skirts. I mostly see them at shopping centres. I'm just wondering who they are. Are they part of a religious community that says they have to dress that way? (by the way, i'm not talking about muslim women).

There's this guy that I really like and have feelings for, but he would always call me and tell me he was coming over but then never show up. This really hurt me and it was really frustrating...but will he get his in return???? Do you believe that if you're a good person and you treat people good, then that is the way that you will be treated in return????? Is karma just coincidental, or is it real? what are some ways to prove that karma exists??????

Why will there be a new heaven and a new earth? Because the old heaven and earth have both come into contact with sin. The old heaven---satan rebelled, and as in the book of Job--appeared and brought accusation against believers. The old earth because man rebelled and his progeny also sinned. The coming forth of sin as a principle is "original sin". Sin in the singular means sin as a principle, as an entity-----------------Agree?

why do muslims say Bible is corrupted when... the Quran tells muslims to read the Bible and that the Quran ENSURES that God Himself will preserve His own words? (the gospel and the torah)

to say that the bible is corrupted is to say that God was not able to preserve the Bible.

Alright, if you haven't been following, a man in Texas "accidentally" cooked his baby in the microwave. It suffered third-degree burns, but survived. It's with Child Protective Services now.

The mother, who wasn't home at the time, has come out to make a ridiculously stupid statement:

I"m not being sarcastic, just curious?
I'm just wondering, do you teach them say..believe what you want everything is your own choice?
Or do you teach them evolution and tell them to make up their own mind?
Or would you be upset if say, a relative who believed in God told them about God?
Would you allow them to go o a Christan or Jewish or Musslim school if they wanted to?

I have seen many versions of Bible and new editions are coming in market by leaps and bounds.
Jesus pbuh said in the book of Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 18-19 ". . . If any man shall add to these things (or delete) God shall add unto him the plagues written in this Book."
My question is when these bible editors and publishers will have pleague according to the glad tidings by Jesus pbuh.

I am a father of a 13 year old boy and I have been noticing some of his interests aren't exactly the perfect child sort of habits... not saying I want him to be perfect... but, first of all, he has been getting into death and black metal. He was telling me about some bands such as Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, and Korpiklaani, which I am a fan of. But then he started saying a whole bunch of gory, bad names. I figure they are maybe Wiccans, Satanists, Atheists or something. I recently posted a question about my son saying he is atheist. I am afraid the music is infecting him...

This is too all you fellow christians out there. How big do you think our Kingdom Of The Mighty Father is? My friend and I debated this recently. He beleives based on scripture that it is 89,283 square acres. Whereas I believe it is roughly the size of Arizona. Does anyone know the exact measurements?

OK, I am going to be traveling in a commercial airplane (first time) out of the country (also first time) and I was wondering if I should be able to get Holy Water form my priest and use it to bless the plane my classmates and I are flying in. My girfriend was drinking a Redbull the other day and got into a discussion with a coworker. the cowroker started saying that he does not smoke, drink, or use caffeine and a few other things because of his religion. i asked my gf what religion it was but she couldn't remember what religion it was.

I know it wasn't mormon which i already read about.

Why do Christians believe in the concept of original sin, even though according to this verse the son isn't responsible for the sins of his father?


It wasn't like they came and asked me whether they should eat from the tree. Why should I be responsible?


Does this mean the children shouldn't be babtized anymore?
