How can you prove that the voice of the Father was ever heard in the Old Testament apart from the Transfiguration on the mountain witnessed by the Christ, Peter, Elijiah, and Moses in the New Testament?

I only have experience with Nichiren... but I am curious: how does 'initiation' factor into your path? I realize there are different paths of Buddhism, and I wish to know how 'initiation', if at all, is involved. This could be relative to states of meditation or other...

Hi, I am a 35 years old man, all my life I have always been respectful of every individual, especially women. I will begin saying that I am straight, good-looking, but I am still a virgin. Even though many times girls have tried to seduce me and one of them even begged me to be hers. Well, the thing is that I am a Christian and I am convinced that sex is only allowed when one is married. Therefore, I respect women and have kept my virtue intact. My question is this: Are there any men like me in the world?. By the way, I speak many languages, I am very smart and kind according to my friends, and some of the girls I know say that I am cute. Of course no body knows that I am virgin.
Is there a righteous man who is like me, honestly, answer me.
Additionally, I would like to know what women think about my point of view . The question is open only for people who has a strong relationship with Jesus. Thank you.

John 5:37: "You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.".

John 5:45,46: "there is one who accuses you -- Moses, in whom you trust. "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.

John 8: 56-58: "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." Then the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, "most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."

Leviticus 24:16

The Bible god told the whole congregation to take part in stoning the blasphemer.

Sounds good to me.

But if you claim the Bible god never changes, why did he stop doing that?

Now presumably this god says we have free will. When did he come up with that idea?

Now a blasphemer has free will, therefore we can't all just stone him and get it over with?

Why couldn't the Bible god have kept his original methods?

Why did he have to change?

Is this proof that the Father and the Son are not equal since the "Root of David", the "Lion of the tribe of Judah", the "Lamb" came and "took the scroll out of the right hand OF HIM WHO SAT ON THE THRONE" in Revelation 5:5-7? What about Revelation 5:9 "For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests TO GOD; And we shall reign on the earth."

Doesn't it seem pretty clear that the Lamb of God is not the same as God the Father the Almighty who made the Lamb the heir to the Kingdom of Heaven and Lord God of all human beings? Isn't it pretty clear that the Lamb of God was Jehovah of the Old Testament?

Okay lets say for the time being the teachings of Christianity are accurate, why would the devil wish me or any other human for that matter tremendous harm and eternal suffering. After all I dont recall doing anything to him so whats his beef with mankind. Is he just using us as pawns to get back at God and if so why doesnt the Almighty do something about it.

A geniune question, and one in which I hope intellectual Christains, or for that matter Muslims will be able to provide a good answer to

Ok, due to the response to the first part of this question, I will continue.

I have been a practicing Wiccan for several years. Somebody said the object of worship is the only difference between Wicca and other religious rituals. Not so, but I won't get into that here. I will not defend my beliefs and will not make others defend theirs, but I still do not have a satisfactory answer.

1: Why the contradiction in the bible?
2: Why is one ritual ok and not the other?
3: Why do people judge others when they're not supposed to?

And here's more:

4. Why is it ok to hate another person because their view of a supreme being is different than yours? Example muslims/jews, christians/pagans.

One group thinks their supreme being looks like santa claus. Somebody else's view may be a woman, or a person of color. Why does organized religion influence the world?

This is a poll so let's try to keep our answers concise and precise. The more people participate, the better it would be.
This poll addresses the BASIC question about homosexuality; just give your view on it irrespective of whether you tolerant homosexuality or not.

Do you think homosexuality is inherently unnatural i.e. do you think sexuality was meant to be only heterosexual and that is why the opposite genitals in the male and female?

I will post my opinion later.
Cheers

I was raised a baptist since before I can remember. I have a very demanding career now and don't really have the time or desire to go to church. I have always asked questions about everything, including religion. I once asked my pastor some questions but have NEVER received a satisfactory answer. So, at risk of pissing off the whole world I will ask here.

Answer these questions for me:

1: The old testament says,"an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." The new testament says "turn the other cheek". How can I do both? Am I damned if I do and damned if I don't?

2: About religious rituals...isn't that a form of witchcraft? We're invoking the power of a higher being to influence the results of the ritual. How is that different from, say, Wicca? If they're similar, how can one be right and the other wrong?

3: I have heard a lot of people in the church talk about how they shouldn't judge. "Judge not lest ye be judged yourself". But clearly they do judge others. Why?

And couldn't the Bible god think up a better way to provide for the Israelites, than having them "borrow" clothing and jewelery, just before leaving; and telling them "Ye shall despoil the Egyptians"?

Exodus 3:21-22

Not yet out of Egypt and already they are learning from their own god how to steal and deceive?

Scant revenge for 400 years of slavery, anyway.

Okay, church people, let's see how you spin this one.
